One of the overlooked heroes of our fleet the bendy tractor designed to work the harshest conditions & like all vehicles it needs to go away to be serviced. On Thursday the relief tractor arrived so while ours is away our volunteers can still maintain 24/7 cover along our coast
Last night the volunteers from our flank station at Workington had the honour of scattering the ashes of our friend and colleague Jamie Lockie who died of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in December 2019.

At the beginning of 2021 St Bees village school decided to collect 5p coins in small jars known as Bettys 5p pots. The small jars soon added up to an impressive £200.55 for St Bees RNLI.
Thank you all so much.
This morning saw the welcome return of our lifeboat Joy Morris MBE. Out lifeboat has been at Cowes on the Isle of Wight for a full refit & service
The relief lifeboat has served us well over the last 4 months & was launched 6 times on service

@Liam30360476 @nannybear5 @MerPolTraffic@voitechnology Neither the scooters or the cars are the issue. It is the irresponsible people who ride or drive them. Hate them.
St Bees Post Office have been selling raffle tickets raising money for St Bees RNLI & the NHS our volunteer drew out the 2 winners & then received a cheque for £250 for St Bees RNLI thanks to everyone at St Bees Post Office and their customer's for their support

The @RNLI's lifeguards can't be everywhere this summer. If you're heading to the coast, #BeBeachSafe: check the weather and tides, keep an eye on your family and don't use inflatables. In an emergency call 999 for the Coastguard. Find safety advice at https://t.co/aE9RyyVpGq
I’m absolutely devastated to learn of the death of Mark Conner
Mark was a real Rev superfan and travelled all over the country to see us for years with his best mate Andrew
This virus is a cruel, indiscriminate bastard
Please please stay indoors people
RIP Mark ❤️
Well done to Hannah Clarkson and James Penn who have gained their bronze Duke of Edinburgh award volunteering at St Bees RNLI.
All the students spent the last 12 months working alongside the Whitehaven Harbour Youth Project.

“Get over it Gary, your 2⃣2⃣ points behind one of the greatest teams EVER - and you’re on about VAR!”
@RobbieSavage8 shuts down this #MCFC fan who says the only reason #LFC are going to win the league is because the technology is in their favour...
Strap yourself in 😂

Our volunteers were presented with a cheque for £714 in memory of Shirley Stanley, mother of Norma Paine, wife of one of our volunteers. Instead of flowers the family asked for donations to St Bees RNLI.
The cheque was presented by Shirley's husband William Stanley.

Between 2012-2016, 25 shore anglers died fishing the UK coast. 70% were swept in by waves. None were wearing lifejackets.
Always wear a lifejacket.

Throughout the year we visit quite a few schools and on Wednesday July 18 our Sea Safety Officer Ian Howard held a joint assembly at St Beghs school with Steven Bragg from the Coastguard.

I like sport, but there are some right bellends about. This is the worst thing I've seen for a while. Idiots should be arrested.
