That’s how an IDF tank commander described the practice in Breaking Ranks: Inside Israel’s War, an ITV investigation into Israel’s campaign in Gaza.

One soldier said his company used two Palestinians, one of them a 16-year-old boy to move through neighborhoods. They said teenagers were used routinely, and the practice of using human shields was widespread: within a week, “every company” had its own “mosquito,” meaning civilians were being forced ahead of troops into threatening areas, across the IDF.

Soldiers say the usual rules of engagement were abandoned, and the use of human shields became part of a wider “free-for-all.” When some troops protested, a commander told them:

“Soldiers don’t have to worry about international law, only about the ‘IDF spirit’.”

🚨Israeli soldiers detained two Palestinian children, accusing them of being spies in Al-Khalil, West Bank today. When passersby questioned why such young children were detained, the army told the to stop filming. The soldiers demanded to know where the boys' father was and detained them for a while before multiple soldiers went to the family's' house, preventing activists from following them. The soldiers then harassed and threatened the shopkeepers who were trying to support the children.

This is the everyday violence of the occupation in Al Khalil where Israeli soldiers routinely terrorise Palestinians outside their homes without impunity.

Quindi a Lainate quello era un gruppo di palestinesi ed è stato lui ad aggredirli, con tanto di referto medico e denuncia per aggressione nei suoi confronti, presentata da loro.

Quindi era lui che aveva visto i loro simboli palestinesi ed era lui che si è isterizzato dopo averli visti, e ha dato in escadescenze e ha colpito, e poi ha tirato fuori il telefono e ha fatto la vittima e si è inventato un’aggressione a calci e pugni che non ha mai refertato in quanto non ha mai ricevuto, ma il mondo intero ci ha creduto perché alla parola del più forte del più bianco del più protetto e del più bullo si crede sempre.

Ma dai.

Quindi era per quello che la polizia non ha fatto comunicati e Autogrill non ha fatto comunicati per stigmatizzare l’evento, ma in compenso hanno fatto comunicati immediati tutti i peggio venditori di fumo sulla piazza e un sacco di gente è corsa a reggergli la lenza.

Ma dai.

Vogliamo contare domani quante rettifiche faranno sui giornali e quanti aggiornamenti alla notizia? Ve lo dico subito: zero.
