At the same time, I also inaugurated members of the Machakos Level 5 Hospital Management Board, which will be chaired by Bishop Charles Kababu.
I am confident that their invaluable knowledge and experience will help my Government in fulfilling its mandate to the people of Machakos.

Affordable Housing Projects being put up across the Country are aimed at providing dignified shelter for as many people as possible, and the spurring of economic activity through revitalizing the construction industry and creating job opportunities for plumbers, carpenters, artisans, architects, engineers and even casual labourers.
Inspected the Karanjee Affordable Housing Project comprising of 705 units in Limuru Town and the Bibirioni-Ngarariga Link Road.

Today, we officially launched Kenyaโs Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy 2025-2030 at the KICC, Nairobi. The Launch is a commitment to shaping Kenyaโs digital future ensuring that we are not spectators but architects of our digital destiny.
AI is a key Pillar of our digital transformation agenda, aligning with the Kenya National Digital Masterplan 2022-2032 and Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA). These initiatives prioritize digital infrastructure, skills development and emerging technologies to drive inclusive and sustainable growth.
Kenyaโs AI Strategy is crucial to keeping Kenya competitive, secure and future ready in the global digital economy. Notably, the Vision of this AI Strategy is built on three core Pillars; AI Digital Infrastructure, Data and AI Governance, AI Research, Innovation and Commercialization.
Kenyaโs AI future is now, it is up to all of us; government, private sector, academia and civil society to turn this Vision into reality.
I appreciate the immense support by The European Union, The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) & GIZ, The International Development Research Centre (IDRC), The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and our local and international academic institutions, civil society organizations, and technology partners for the unwavering support to develop the Strategy.
I was accompanied by ICT and Digital Economy PS Eng. John Tanui. Also present at the launch were; PS for the State Department for Parliamentary Affairs Ms. Aurelia Rono, PS for the State Department for Diaspora Affairs, Ms. Roseline Njogu, Chairperson, The National Assembly Departmental Committee on Communication, Information and Innovation, Hon. John Kiarie and Chairperson of the Standing Senate ICT Committee Hon. Allan Chesang.
The meeting was also attended by The European Union Ambassador to Kenya, H. E Henriette Geiger, French Ambassador to Kenya H.E. Arnaud Suquet, Deputy Ambassador of the German Embassy in Kenya Mr. Alexander Fierly, Special Envoy on Technology for the Republic of Kenya, Ambassador Philip Thigo, representatives from the Danish Embassy, UNDP, members of the diplomatic corps and officials from the public and private sectors.
The Government has revived the construction of Ruringโu Stadium in Nyeri County, resolving the existing stalemate and upgraded the facility to a 15,000-seater stadium. Construction works have been handed over for immediate commencement.
The project, which had stalled since 2017, will be upgraded to a prototype FIFA-standard stadiumโone of several currently earmarked for nationwide upgrades.
This sports facility will play a crucial role in promoting sports development in the county and the region while also driving significant economic benefits. I was accompanied by the Nyeri County leadership led by the Governor H.E Mutahi Kahiga, Sports PS Elijah Mwangi, Sports Kenya CEO and senior officials from the Ministry.

KSh 1.8B Grant from China to upgrade hospitals.
The CS Hon. FCPA John Mbadi this morning signed a KSh 1.8 billion (RMB 100 million) grant agreement with H.E. Ms. Guo Haiyan, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China,(@ChineseEmbKenya) at the Treasury Building.
The grant, a significant boost to Kenyaโs healthcare sector, will fund the upgrading of key hospitals across the country. Beneficiary institutions include Londiani Referral Hospital, Baringo County Referral Hospital, Kilifi Hospital, Misikhu Hospital, Bildad Kagia Hospital, and Kaimosi Farmers Training College.
