@_Chemist1 How do people in corporate live then ? where there is a constant need of visibility and validation from clients which becomes the fuel for their career growth ?
My father kept every warranty card of everything he ever bought.
Mixers, fans, our first music system in 1996. The color TV.
Filed in a plastic folder that outlived most of the appliances.
I used to find it funny.
Much later is when I finally understood it.
A man who grew up with nothing learns to protect everything.
Because replacing anything was never an option.
The thing had to survive.
An entire life, if need be.
Now when I throw a box away 5 minutes after opening it, I feel the distance between his life and mine.
They spent their life surviving.

3 hard lessons for life (that we all need to learn):
(1) Stop chasing people who are running away.
(2) Stop trying to change people who donโt want to be changed.
(3) Stop allowing people to rob you of your peace of mind.
Internalize these to live a healthier, wealthier life.
Build self esteem
-Stop comparing yourself to others
-Identify your strengths and embrace your weaknesses
-Don't be overly critical of yourself
-Build healthy relationships
-Exercise and be happy
What we need is a routine.
It neednโt be an early morning routine.
It neednโt even be a morning routine.
It just needs to be a routine.
A set of things you do every day, that help you.
If you are an Impact-focused or Execution-focused person who has to deal with an Optics-focused peer, you need to be careful around that person. Share & collaborate because thatโs the right thing for the company, but also make sure your manager knows of your unique contributions.
