Boomers ran up huge debts, continually lowered their own taxes, failed the nation for 40 years, hold the nations progress back and demand more rewards.

@proptechpioneer The problem with the logic is boomers downsizing just means they are gobbling up smaller homes young people would want while paying less in tax, boomers/tories are responsible for destroying supply and of course the social contract has been broken so the young can't afford them.

@proptechpioneer I of course vastly oversimplified it. I am however quite sure it does 3 things politically for them. First the richest will 100% benefit, boomers who are sitting on large houses (quite a number) will benefit. At the same time they get to pretend to be helping the young.

@linmeitalks Whether you care about Ukraine is really neither here nor there. Its natsec not a moral decision. Allowing Russia to gobble up Ukraine puts Russia on the doorstep of NATO with a new huge border which gives Russia all kinds of extra ways to poke NATO and expand his influence.

@ThatcheriteBish Not really because people getting "incomes" of £100m and not being paid how the average joe is. They are being paid to corps who technically own the assets and money. It would in the technical sense be corp tax not income tax.
