Oops, I started a new project: Skyreader, an RSS reader on the AT Protocol. Share cool articles like it's 2010 and Google Reader would never die. https://t.co/m0DZSbLrnX

Big updates for Flint, my note-taking project. Spent the holidays reworking just about all of it. New UI. New backend. Now uses Automerge for a local-first foundation.
Blogged about how I'm designing Flint to make note capture as zero-friction as possible. The key is designing for different organizing time horizons (defer but track).

Flint is really coming together. My Thanksgiving week project was adding experimental EPUB support. Now you can highlight and chat with the LLM about your books!
The app's core pillars are:
- You own your notes - plaintext, no lock-in
- A UI that is humane - surface appropriate abstractions + respect for how humans think
- Writing is thinking and you do the thinking - LLMs are useful magic but must not replace your writing/thinking
Wrote about a new project I'm working on. It's a note-taking/thinking-system app that evolved out of an experiment with using just an MCP server for taking notes. Turns out you need a UI.

Wrote about Flint Note. I've been chasing the perfect note-taking system for years but every tool eventually became a prison when my thinking changed. Built an MCP server to solve that - markdown + AI agents that adapt to your workflows.

Oh you’re sad about losing all your crypto? Sam Bankman-Fried just manslaughtered a trillion interstellar humanoids in the distant future — imagine how he’s feeling. Have some sympathy for once.
Factorio players are optimising their belt balancers by reducing belt balancing to SAT and feeding to a SAT solver. Fucking incredible
