@Savethedmagic “If you don’t like it, don’t go.” I wish the critics could understand that. Even a lifelong (since 70s) Disney kid like myself has stopped going because I don’t like things, but for different reasons :)
@Savethedmagic With millions of vaccuming robots in homes today, it will take more than that. But on the plus, their last view of the future showed VR helmets, and now those finally caught on. Sorta. Somewhat. I mean, I know someone who has one.
@Savethedmagic I made a list of “rides” at WDW, DL, and Universal. WDW has lower ride count today than Disneyland’s two parks. Though I need to update this to include things like shows, parade, fireworks to see what that does. https://t.co/PekiqDsx20
@Parkeology Ah, good times. The Mouse “borrowed” one of my photos for their eBay listing when selling one of these off, though I forget if they used a DL pic to sell a TMK boat, or vise versa.
Always off property. Adding a few extra days in the theme parks over barely being in a hotel room ;)
Then universal happened, and we stay on site there for the real perks - no 30 minute bus ride ;)
Because the show has been around for 60 years, it’s easy to forget the surprises of the Enchanted Tiki Room. Can you imagine experiencing the show for the first time and the room literally comes alive in the middle of the performance?
@Parkeology In the early days of dialup internet, I remember how harsh folks where on Ben, saying that the alligator that walked up stairs in America Sings at Disneykand was smoother. Now I’m tempted to go find an A.S. video and see. That was not an option back then :)
Decades ago, when I realized I could get Dole Whip even in Des Moines, Iowa, it became less interesting to me at Disney. It is fairly easy to find these days … so does it still get lines at the parks?
@disneytipsguy Always cheaper and more days. I got for the parks and experience, not the hotels. You get to visit them and explore for free without staying there other than amenities ;)
@DreamfinderGuy As a kid visiting in the 1970s, there was a lot of WDW we never visited. I mean, it will be there the next time we visit… now I just have to buy a DVC to be able to “see” Discovery Island ;)
