I will never understand why so many people expend so much energy, time and thought on making others sad, hurt or dead. We could spend our lives grateful to be here. Instead many of us, particularly those who have been unfairly gifted with, or simply taken, control, spend their lives resenting that others are here too.
When you vote, look for those who don’t blame immigrants, refugees or asylum seekers for our social and economic woes. It’s a lie that has been used over and over again throughout history by the worst people to do the worst things.
Neither should we vote for people who celebrate or condone the deaths of children. Even one dead child is still an unbearable tragedy and crime, whether it is in Gaza or on your doorstep.
