If conservatives are saying that women are walking away from Labor, perhaps they should look at history. It wasn’t Labor cheering on the grotesque cartoons that were degrading our first ever female PM of her naked with a dildo strapped on. It wasn’t Labor agreeing with Alan Jones’s comments that Julia Gillard should be drowned at sea in a chaff bag. It wasn’t Labor incited violence on her on SkyNews who said ‘Australians should be out there kicking her to death’. These comments came from Liberals. And Liberal affiliated media. This sort of language was repeated so much that it became normalised. I don’t know why any woman would want to support that. And some of those who said these things are still around.
