@ttoeynattapon@DrewWakefield5 DR 10 by hand is a real grind, respect. One habit worth starting now: keep a sheet of every listing URL and recheck them monthly. A surprising number quietly get removed or flip to nofollow. Good luck on the next one 🤝
@0xAlex_dev Reply-first on X, honestly. Search for people describing the problem you solve, help them with no link, and only show the product when they ask. Pair it with a handful of directory and launch listings in week one so Google can find you later. Slow, but free.
@zero2tenx Getting first users. Building was the easy part. Now it's showing up daily where founders already hang out and being useful before asking for anything.
@sherifgjini Agree. Launch day is a spike, replies are the compounding part. Showing up where people are already asking the question beats shouting into your own feed every time.
@abdulreal96 Welcome Abdulwahab! The thing that works most often early: find 10-20 people already complaining about the problem you solve, help them in public with no link, and only show the product when they ask. Slow, but those first users stick and tell you what to build next.
@dkhaburdzania Nice, no sign-up is the right call. One thing I'd love: show which of those top 10 linking sites are dofollow vs nofollow. That's usually the first question founders ask after seeing their DR.
@yash_patidar_ai@bot Not quite. Badges on your own site are links out to other sites. Backlinks are the reverse: other sites linking to you. Check that the listings behind those badges actually exist and link back to your domain, ideally dofollow and indexed.
@samdiaztech@X Solid early picks are Product Hunt, BetaList, Uneed, Peerlist and Fazier, plus a few niche AI-tool directories for you. 20 well-picked beat 200 random ones. If you'd rather skip the grind, that's what we do at https://t.co/Xja1Yo15WH
@ekanshbhushan We handle directory submissions for SaaS by hand: you send your URL, we list you on hand-picked directories and send proof each listing is live, so you get dofollow backlinks and DR. Launch 20 is $25 one-time for 20 directories: https://t.co/Xja1Yo1DMf
@aeljaouari Brutal, 12 years of work. Curious what finally moved it back: pruning and updating the old articles, or something else? In update hits like that, cutting thin pages often does more than publishing more.
@Ashyedra Timing looks coincidental. Low-quality directory links mostly get ignored, not punished within days, so I wouldn't disavow yet. A 90% drop that fast is usually on-site: thin pages filtered, an indexing change or an update hit. Compare top queries before vs after in GSC.

@n1emes Hey Niemes! Presentations with backlinks is a fun angle, decks get shared a lot. Are the links meant for the presenter's own site, or for SEO on the hosted deck pages? Working on SaaS listings and SEO over here.
