trigger warnings and safe space discourse, while well intentioned and appropriate in certain situations, were actually pretty harmful for the metaculture. in practice, they overwhelmingly invested in injury as a site of identity and ended up becoming a regulatory apparatus that can't discern experiencing discomfort from experiencing harm
@cixmas there’s only 2 eps with them so far and there’s been moments.. i’d say 40% on ice and 60% on their rs.. there’s only 4 eps left when it finishes i’ll lyk if there’s ice foreplay
@cixmas there’s SOME hockey but like it’s more to do with the toxicity of hockey culture so there’s hockey moments but not like the focus of the show ygm
@cixmas when i put u on hockey i never expected this but i understand cousin the hockey fr is just a plot device its not a hockey show its yaoi and they happen to be hockey players i forgive u 😔
@xaraguan@DavidOpie how is it queer bait-y if the show is queer lol. queer bait applies to fictional characters who are coded or implied to be queer to garner more attention, just to be confirmed straight later on. if they’re queer characters and they end up together at the end then there’s no bait
