Canada is building big — and finding new partners who want to build with us.
Today in Doha, Qatar committed to making big investments in Canada’s major infrastructure projects. That will get projects built faster, supercharge our energy industries, and create thousands of high-paying careers for Canadians.
One of my longest standing hobbies is thinking about whether I should get an iPad. It’s not about the iPad it’s about imagining the alternate life I might live as someone who has an iPad. Love to wonder about it
Fav Build Canada memo so far is Julie Di Lorenzo's on zoning law reform. As a 30-year old renting in Toronto, owning a home feels far out of reach. Zoning reform = more housing options = increased supply of affordable homes 🏠

It is an epic waste of money. The type of boondoggle that if it happened, would be province-hobbling waste.
To put it in perspective, cutting all taxes on new housing in Ontario would cost less than $6B. New hospitals can be built for $1-2B. You could double the amount of subways in Toronto, even at current building costs.
The fact that such an absurd proposal is even allowed to see the light of day just demonstrate how absent thinking is in Ford’s Conservative Party.
And it’s no wonder Ontario has experienced its slowest economic growth in a generation these last 6. We are not led by serious people. And yet we may give them 4 more years? Makes me sick!
