बलिया के अंकुर सिंह ने फर्जी ScSt एक्ट से प्रताड़ित होकर सितंबर 2019 में फांसी पर लटक कर आत्महत्या कर ली थी।

मौत के बाद अंकुर सिंह का एक वीडियो सामने आया था, जिसमें उसने आरोप लगाया था कि एससी/एसटी पक्ष के लोगों द्वारा मुकदमा दर्ज न करने या सुलह करने के एवज में उससे 2 लाख रुपये की मांग की जा रही है।

आत्महत्या के बाद भी अंकुर सिंह और उनके पिता पर ही मुकदमा चल रहा है।
