@23XIfan88@PPistone@MWRacingCentral Fuel was higher at times straight up under Biden and also Obama (adjusted for inflation).
Average US gas price is $4.31 right now, May 2011 under Obama it was $5.77 when adjusted to today’s dollar. Without Trump fuel would be double what it is today, should be thanking him
@PPistone@MWRacingCentral If they had gone all electric with the cars and transporters, these fuel prices wouldn’t be an issue…j/k
Still cheaper than the summer of 2022 and 2012-2014 when adjusted for inflation, it’ll come back down before it goes up again.
@nobrainflip There’s not gonna be a 2008 type bubble, maybe a dip. Then when interest rates eventually come back down house values will take off again when all the buyers who have been waiting flood the market 🤷♂️
@GuyTalksFinance I’m retired right now on around $100k a year, it’s great. When I can start drawing my social security early at 62 that’ll add another 20 grand or so a year as well.
@SteveOnSpeed The age of your credit helps a lot too. My VISA is about 25 years old and my Mastercard started as a Sears credit card in the mid 1990’s. Keeps average age of my credit up. Also keep the limits as high as possible and balances low to help Utilization Ratio.
@theficouple Do what we did back in the day, eat beans and rice, share a vehicle, sell nonessential toys, rent out a room, no vacations, no pets, no fancy drinks, no eating out, until everything is paid off.
They could easily be out of that hole in two years if they really wanted to be.
@jonbrooks My son is an industrial controls electrician. Started out in tech school, then maintenance at a paper mill, then maintenance at a beer can plant, then worked for the company that builds the can plant systems. Now builds cooling systems in AI data centers. Makes $175k 🤷♂️
@MatrixMysteries What airport is that McDonald’s in or is that just California?
Florida McDonald’s near me:
Medium Fry - $2.79
Big Mac - $5.39
10 nuggets - $4.79
Cheeseburger - $2.59
@BarbellFi Dad is slacking, I’m Gen X and retired at 47.
Best ways to retire early these days:
- 20+ years in military, pension/healthcare for life
- VA compensation/healthcare
- Have kids early (<25) or not at all
- Stay single or stay married
- Buy used Toyotas
It’s that simple.
@SinkingTitanic6@SpotterBrett He has improved, his average non-SS oval finish last year was 25.4,so 22.7 is better, especially considering their oval speed woes this year.
I’m talking about folks that think he’ll be a championship contender “once he figures out ovals”,not realistic, especially at Trackhouse
@jonbrooks My first house was a 900 square ft cinderblock 2 bedroom one bath. Could build that for $138k no problem. If I did some of the work, under 100k. The average 1970 house was super basic, return to low pitch roofs, 8 ft ceilings, carpet, etc, and prices would go down drastically.
@ChloesPlanet Where are all the lefties and greenies celebrating the scarcity/high prices causing less oil consumption and making EVs more attractive to consumers? All strangely quiet this time 🤔
@Jonohfun@SpotterBrett His deal with ovals isn’t so much about him getting better, it’s more about the deficit of experience he has relative to the field, it’s near impossible to catch up. No different than almost everyone else’s deficit in road racing skill relative to him, they simply can’t compete.
@TicTocTick If you’re able to work from home your days are numbered anyway because AI will be replacing you soon, better be making other plans starting yesterday.
@middle_class_us They can get a nice used Camry/RAV4 for $15k with 80-100k miles. 48 months at 7% is $359 a month. Run Instacart or Walmart Spark a few days a month and make $600 to cover the payment and insurance. I made $170 in 5 hours yesterday. Easy to do one day a week
You’re Welcome.
