Since Independence, under multiple Congress governments, India crawled to a $2 trillion economy.

PM Modi’s 12 years: India has crossed $4 trillion. In 12 years, India has moved from hesitation to acceleration. From UPI to ports, from digital infrastructure to defence production, a new India has been unleashed.

And that is a political chargesheet against Congress.

For decades, Congress sold India poverty management as governance, entitlement as economics, and slow growth as destiny. Then they have the audacity to compare India with China, after wasting decades when China was building factories, ports, highways, scale and national ambition.

The China comparison is useless unless Congress first answers one question:

What exactly were you doing for 67 years?

Congress mocked ambition because it never had any.

In the video, frustrated villagers in Katwa in West Bengal finally take out their long pending anger on a cow smuggler by thrashing him !

Earlier these poor villagers, whose cattle were regularly stolen, couldn’t file any complaints against these smugglers or even raise their voices, because TMC cow mafias would finish them off.

Cow smuggling across the West Bengal -Bangladesh border has long been a menace, which has roots in political nexus.

In 2022, TMC leader Anubrata Mondal was arrested by the CBI and the ED for providing political patronage to the cow smuggling racket.

Enamul Haque was identified as one of the chief organizers of the cross-border smuggling, reportedly paying large sums to influential individuals and even security personnel.

Cow Smuggling in West Bengal has been a highly profitable business; a cow costing roughly ₹40,000–₹50,000 in India can be sold for ₹80,000 to more than ₹1,50,000 in Bangladesh, especially during Eid.

Cattle are often transported from states like UP, Haryana, and Rajasthan to transit points in West Bengal, like Murshidabad and Phansidewa.

Smugglers have been using rivers and unfenced borders to take the cows to BD. They have been known to use sedative drugs to keep animals quiet during transport.

Cow smuggling with TMC help had led to increased cattle theft in border villages, violent clashes between rival gangs, and a reign of terror for the poor villagers who kept losing their cows.

Am so glad that WB CM Suvendhu Adhikari has said that illegal cattle smuggling will be curbed across West Bengal.

Good to see that TMC worker Garga Chatterjee, who peddled hate against Biharis, has been arrested by West Bengal police.

Known for his brazen racism and dislike for poor, hard-working non-Bengalis, he made countless hate speeches against them during Mamata's reign.

Garga Chatterjee ran a radical linguistic outfit by the name of 'Bangla Pokkho'. Under his supervision, this organisation harassed and even thrashed blue-collar workers for failing to speak in Bangla.

Think of 'Bangla Pokkho' as a cheap variant of MNS in Maharashtra.

But here is the interesting part: Garga studied at Harvard University and worked as a Professor at the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) in Kolkata.

Despite such credentials and academic background, the politically convenient racism in him did not subside.

He received support from both uneducated hooligans and white-collar Bengali supermacists.

Garga enjoyed complete immunity under Mamata despite his vicious tirade against a section of poor and marginalised people.

It is still not clear why Garga has been arrested or the charges under which he has been booked.

All of this is immaterial. The good news is that the law has finally caught up with him.

When TMC was in power, the pattern was not just obvious, it was shameless. Take Alapan Bandyopadhyay’s rapid rise as an example:

* Handpicked as Chief Secretary (2020–21)
* Later appointed as the CM’s Personal Advisor

The same TMC ecosystem that ignored norms, bent rules, and rewarded loyalty with top posts had no problem concentrating power in the hands of one individual. However, today, when appointments are made through seniority and established service rules, TMC suddenly wants to lecture everyone on propriety and transparency.

The outrage is not principled. It is pure political theatre. 🎭
