21st March: Anal Cancer Awareness Day
"Anal Cancer-DON'T be too embarrassed to get checked/discuss concerns...just because it's in an embarrassing place doesn't mean it's worth dying for!"
2/2 Get lumps and bumps looked at, do your poo test, book your mammogram - or ‘check the girls’ as Gemma Reeves says 😊 - boys check your balls and ladies, keep your cervical smears up to date.
World Cancer Day 2026. Remembering those who are undergoing investigations or treatment, survivors, those living with cancer and those who are no longer with us.
Please don’t ignore symptoms however embarrassing you think it is.
We are now recruiting for a study on perineal hernias.
These are bulges in the undercarriage which can occur after bowel cancer surgery. There is little known about how they impact patients.
We are recruiting people who have experienced perineal hernia to take part in an interview with a researcher

For many NHS staff, the recent racist violence in this country will leave them feeling afraid and unwelcome. To those colleagues, our message is simple: you are welcome and you are valuable members of our community. Reach out for support if you need it.

The latest CPES results are demonstrating unacceptable variations in the quality of people’s experiences of cancer care in England. Everyone diagnosed with cancer across the UK, should be receiving support that’s right for their needs @macmillancancer@BreastDocUK@Junedavis44
@ionafyfe You do not need to explain yourself at all. There’s no accounting for the ignorance of others. I couldn’t figure out what I was meant to be looking at until I read your post. My first thought was that you looked amazing and I bloody love that dress!
🗓️ #pinchpunch first of the month - a great day to start a new #Wellbeing habit. Why not try downloading @Headspace (free for NHS colleagues at: https://t.co/5kTjLGCkdC) and adding a quick #meditation or #workout to your daily routine? 🧘♀️🏃♂️

Three in four NHS staff are struggling with their mental health
Those that dedicate their lives to caring for others are clearly not being cared for themselves
We think NHS staff deserve so much better - please RT if you agree

If there was ever a moment to realise precisely why the next UK Government must prioritise a long-term, cross-government strategy for cancer care, this must be it.
No one should receive a cancer diagnosis in public, nor should the hardworking NHS staff be having to treat their patients in corridors. This level of care is the result of a system in crisis.
The next Government has a critical opportunity to transform people’s experience of living with cancer. Together, with politicians and partners, we can revolutionise cancer care for people now and in the future.
Cancer waits are 14 times worse than when the Conservatives came to power.
FOURTEEN times.
Please RT so everyone can be aware of what this Government has done to our NHS.
Check your skin. A new mole or a change in an existing mole may be signs of melanoma skin cancer.
Melanomas can appear anywhere on your body, but they're more common in areas that are often exposed to the sun.
