Shattered Trust: The fight for Justice for Cwecwe

In Matatiele, Eastern Cape, an 8-year-old girl named Cwecwe, a student at Bergview College, was allegedly molested on 14 October 2024. Her mother, Thandekile Mtshizana (30), a SAPS officer, discovered the assault on 16 October after Cwecwe exhibited pain and difficulty walking. A doctor confirmed sexual assault, with severe anal penetration and less severe vaginal penetration.

Cwecwe recounted feeling unusually tired and dozing off while sweeping a classroom at the school caretaker’s request, waking when the late transport driver arrived. The regular driver had a substitute that day, and the school failed to notify her parents of the delay despite having their contact details.

The school principal resisted police cooperation, demanded a doctor’s note during Cwecwe’s hospital admission, and later expelled her without parental consent. The caretaker and driver cooperated with the investigation, but the perpetrator remains unidentified. Thandekile, a sexual assault survivor herself, is seeking justice amidst an inadequate response from the school and challenges with the police.

@KaizerChiefs I don't understand how Hlanti is still a Chiefs player? We have a mediocre team, our back 4 hasn't been consistent since season started, & management is letting us down by not appointing a permanent coach, who will come with their own technical team,things can't continue this way

@KaizerChiefs The coach doesn't know how to use players at his disposal, defense has always been a problem since last season, so why would the coach start with Hlanti? The goalkeeping department is not covered in glory either. Njabulo Ngcobo has had little game time, why not start with him?

@KaizerChiefs I still maintain Zwane is an average coach to be coaching a team like Kaizer Chiefs, where is Nkosiphile Ngcobo? The back 4 has been our archilles heal, yet Ngezana, Hlanti & Co are hardly substituted. Stop favoritism and field the best 11 every game.

@KaizerChiefs This team is too big for Arthur Zwane, we should get a better coach otherwise silverware will continue to allude us. This is a sad state of affairs

@KaizerChiefs We cant be showboating after a2-0 lead worst in the 1stHalf,if this is the mentality players are taking 2 every game then we won't win any silverware.We need 2 convert our chances &have a hunger to score more. Coach cant tell us Ngezana is better than Nj.Ngcobo?We deserve better

@FlySafair Your service is shocking & you have no regard for your customers.This morning my 06h00 flight to Durban was delayed by 45 minutes, when I landed in Durban,my checked-in luggage was lost & your staff couldn't track it.I left my details & till now no one has contacted me

@FlySafair I had back to back meetings yet in between those I must make calls to try and track where my luggage is. No one from your airline called me cause you couldn't be bothered. You asked me for my booking reference and bag tag, yet you couldn't even search my surname on your system

@FlySafair The lady who answered the call transferred me to someone who didn't bother picking their call. I called 5 times after that, and my call wasn't answered. I don't think as an airline, you understand the emotions & inconvenience you go through as a customer when your bag is lost.

@FlySafair The only call I received was from your driver, who called me 5 minutes before he dropped my bag, asking me where I was. My luggage was tampered with, however they didn't manage to break the combination lock. So far it seems nothing was taken. I even phoned your h/o 0119280000

@FlySafair After intervention from my travel agency, which kept on calling & following up throughout the day, my luggage was delivered to the hotel early evening. Your staff at the baggage reclaim, who made me complete a form, and leave my details, didn't even bother to call or update me.

@FlySafair I'm DM'ing you nothing, I left all the details you're asking with your baggage reclaim desk at King Shaka,completed a form with all my details, get it from them.I was promised a call and no one has called as yet. Even had to get the travel agency that handled my booking involved.

Baxter opting for the tried and tested, who are mediocre & couldn't win us silverware in previous seasons, is a bigger problem. His tactics are not working, his team selection is the reason Chiefs is going backwards. If he can't give youngsters a chance, he must go#Amakhosi4Life
