@tobytarrant@grok You are either willfully ignorant or a simple-minded pea-brain. Being “worth” a trillion does not equate to having a trillion to spend.
@OctalNickel@DarrigoMelanie Similar to when you feed animals, they come to depend on you. If you support the homeless, not only do they remain homeless, but more people choose to be homeless.
Homelessness isn’t a product of capitalism. And it’s not a failure of capitalism. It’s a result of an individuals inability to integrate with society. Homeless people choose not to participate, aka they choose homelessness.
To be clear, home ownership is not a human right. And nobody owes their hard earned money to people who fail to provide basic necessities to themselves.
@TVNewsNow@jasoninthehouse@BillCassidy If you have to start a statement by reminding someone you are any sort of professional, it automatically signals insecurity.
Well, the homeowners insurance issue is a result of rapid inflation of home prices, which is a direct result of democratic policies (both state and federal governt) pushing thousands of people to relocate to Florida.
Florida homeowners are suffering because we utilize the same currency which has been devalued in liberal states. If I move to Los Angeles right now, I can ask for almost twice as much of a salary that I would obtain here in Florida. It’s not because I am worth more. It’s because the dollar is worth less.
This is why policies like minimum wage hikes are preposterously bad. You aren’t actually creating any value. Instead you are devaluing the existing pool of money. Until our society can understand this basic concept of money and supply and demand we will suffer economic turbulence and the erosion of quality of life.
