Tempted to use codex fast mode, its been cooking for 30+ hours on an app. Anyone have experience with grok being significantly faster than codex for longer tasks?

One of the biggest benefits since moving to codex from claude is the ability to generate virtually infinite amounts of images: logos, backgrounds, visualisation. Especially tile maps with different design/layout ideas for web and mobile apps to compare.

@gilgNYC Keep in mind they gave two free random resets of the rate limits again. Without those, its definitely limited for a $200 plan. Claude is even worse. But with a banked reset, i would definitely try fast mode!

@LLMJunky You do realize that this machine is far from running frontier models, even in a few months? Especially with multiple agents, which is most peoples workflow these days, it is way too slow. However, for personal or privacy critical use cases, this is amazing! Itching to buy one.

@awilkinson @nickgraynews You cant be using dictation seriously if you think siri is accurate enough for proper texts especially in tech. However, i agree that with fast local models like whisper v3 large turbo, paid subscription apps are probably becoming less relevant.

If you use codex and want to switch accounts mid session: wait for the current turn to finish, quit with ctrl + c (it will then show the exact command to resume that session), switch the account (use codex-switch tui) and resume with the command it showed on exit.

@splizard @thekitze fair point, but running several ios sims while developing with agents requires a mac, all workarounds seem too much of a hassle imo.
