@FlyAirNZ says even though they should have downgraded and refunded me when I requested it before my flight they can't give a refund now because I used the upgraded tix and it wouldn't be "fair." So my choice was to pay the upgrade fee or skip my flight? This is "fair?"

@FlyAirNZ one up program's a scam. I bid $50 to upgrade to premium economy but got charged $3130. 4 different agents were too incompetent to downgrade my tix for a refund, so I had to use the upgraded tix to get home. AirNZ won't refund despite admitting their agents messed up

@dinosaurfeather most of the time in the hospital you don't need to resort to calling for security, often staff can apply restraints to a patient when necessary, but they need to be there if needed. And the hospital and ER is a much more controlled and predictable setting than the field

@dinosaurfeather ah, gotcha. I definitely think they should exist. Not only should the police not be responding to these calls without an MHP (and as discussed in previous posts, if at all), I don't see why they would want the responsibility for mental health crisis calls

@dinosaurfeather But that is only my suspicion. The MHPs themselves know better than you or I what is necessary to safely and effectively provide help in these true crisis situations. I should hope they are central to the decision making process of shaping mobile response teams

@dinosaurfeather My suspicion is that *someone* is going to need to be with the MHPs when the patient is not cooperative or if the situation becomes dangerous. Perhaps that someone is a police officer, perhaps it is more like non police security personnel. It will not be another MHP though...
