@bdotTM The old model of breaking artists through radio and mixtapes is gone — long gone. Until there’s a new system or platform that truly breaks new artists, the industry will keep feeling chaotic. Music is more accessible than ever. AI can make songs, anyone can upload music
@JayBilas@drridpath The coaches want the good old days back, when they could stack their teams with 5 star players, sit back, and enjoy the ride while collectin big contracts. Now that the playin field is levelin out, the excuses are loud. A lot of these dudes are nothing more than used car salesmen
It’s gonna get to a point where you can literally imagine your own movies. You’ll be able to say, “Put Denzel, Arnold, and Wesley Snipes in a big drama featuring Ice Cube,” and AI will generate the whole thing on command. SMFH
People still don’t realize labels either outright own or quietly hold equity in the big AI-music companies. They’re getting paid on both ends catalog licensing + AI output. The business model isn’t “supporting artists,” it’s phasing them out while monetizing them on the way out.
Why would I build a loyal Patreon with DJs paying for my edits, just to cut them off and hand it over to Beatsource? 🤨🙄 1M streams = about $4K. But 500 Patreon supporters at $13 = $6,500 every month. DJs, do the math. Wake up!
