@FortitudeFitSC@QuincyAvery@ScottyMc71 It was more Wild West before with under the table payments with academic and economic exploitation. Could have fixed this years ago…
Can't believe this guy only has 4k followers. This is the preeminent expert in NCAA & the law during this totally chaotic time of NLI's & paying players. If you follow any sort of College Athletics.. Sam should absolutely be on your follow list. One of the best follows right now.
@FortitudeFitSC@QuincyAvery@ScottyMc71 The ceiling hadn’t been reached and 20 years ago you were capped-even though you got money. Cap is gone-let’s see if it levels out. Budgets were broke long before and labor deserves piece too. Can cut sending elsewhere. No reason to pay coaches what they are getting
@Playmaker2395@QuincyAvery@FortitudeFitSC@ScottyMc71 Ok the bargain as an employee and cap coaches too. Money has been running out for other sports for years and hundreds have been dropped but now it’s a problem because athletes get a piece of pie?? 🤦♂️
@QuincyAvery@FortitudeFitSC@ScottyMc71 Similar to other scholarships on campus. Many offer a stipend. Still the college athlete is worth more or people would not pay more.
@QuincyAvery@smith22187 Any other perks were business expenses chosen by university-their earnings were still capped and restricted when worth more. If what they were getting was enough money one would pay them a penny more but guess what they are worth more-a lot more.
@smith22187@QuincyAvery They are not good enough to get it and college athletes have value beyond a scholarship-some a lot more. Just because someone else has to pay is not a reason to deny another’s value. That is life. Student debt is a choice not a mandate.
@TimBrando@sabanfaux@SEC@bigten Do not let perfect be the enemy of good. You go to congress you will not get everything you want and some will be what you don’t like.
