The President blocked our request for Bolton’s testimony.
Now we see why:
Bolton directly contradicts the heart of the President’s defense.
If the trial is to be fair, Senators must insist that Mr. Bolton be called as a witness, and provide his notes and other documents.
Rep. Schiff, in closing argument: "I think the second thing you'll hear from the president’s team is 'attack the mangers...Those managers are just awful. They're terrible people, especially that Schiff guy. He's the worst.'"
Schiff: "'Obama also withheld aid.' Honestly, I think that argument is an insult to our intelligence ... He didn't hide it from Congress. In fact, Congress supported it. And yes, there are times when we withhold aid. For a good policy reason. Not a corrupt effort."
"This argument would be laughable, if this issue wasn’t so serious," Crow says.
The aid delay wasn’t meaningless, Crow argues. "Just ask the Ukrainians sitting in trenches right now. They’re still waiting for $18 million that hasn’t been delivered to them."
