In case you missed this - Ireland is testing all residents and staff in care homes. What a great message to our most vulnerable and those who care for them. Also a crucial step in winning this battle. @ONgov@celliottability @DrFullertonMPP @ONThealth
Few things can brighten our days the way that fresh flowers do. Yesterday, staff at St. Joseph’s were presented with a pretty, purple-hued donation of potted pansies courtesy of Wildhagen Greenhouses—a floral supplier to local @LongosMarkets#frontlineworkers.
#Guelph
It takes a lot of people working relentlessly behind the scenes to find the personal protective equipment our frontline staff need to provide safer care. Thank you Janet, Rayner, Carrie, Dana, Cindy, and Anne Marie, just to name a few. #BehindTheScenes#thankyou
Now more than ever we need to create a more integrated health system. The “one team” approach across LTC, retirement homes, homecare, hospices, public health and acute care etc. is key to success. So thankful colleagues making this happen despite barriers. https://t.co/B4xS4gXSc3
Easter is different this year at St. Joseph’s because safety precautions prevent families from visiting. Residents and staff wanted to spread some Easter cheer and brighten spirits by decorating some of our windows. They are beautiful!
Thank you to Cynthia Moore-Johnson and James Johnson for making this amazing donation of 200 @InkSmith3D face shields happen. Our frontline staff at St. Joseph’s will be putting these to good use. ❤️❤️❤️
My car full of swabs enroute to @SJHealthSystem where we (with @niagarahealth) will be testing all vulnerable residents in LTC, hospice & community based transitional care. Thanks for support @ONThealth & @PublicHealthON
@SJHealthSystem executive team meeting now practicing appropriate social distancing through Zoom video conferencing. Add a bottle of hand sanitizer and active screening of guests. New world, but this too shall end.
Stay strong, work together & we will win.
An amazing week with the leaders and staff at Primary Health Care Corporation in Doha, Qatar to support their quality and safety journey to deliver exemplary, person centered, integrated primary care to the community.
What a great time at the morning and afternoon performances of the Christmas Pageant! Thank you to everyone who works so hard to make the pageant a highlight of the Christmas celebrations at St. Joseph's.
As a much deserved thank you to our volunteers, Stedman Community Hospice hosted its Annual Volunteer Christmas Dinner on Wednesday, Nov 27. Many thanks to these incredible individuals for all you do for our patients. Visit https://t.co/QRLJtUXjwX for more photos.
Over the weekend, we held our Children’s Christmas Party – a long-standing tradition. Staff brought their children and grandchildren to celebrate the Holidays and enjoyed hot chocolate & food stations, crafts, face painting, cookie decorating, and a visit from Santa.
Our Health Centre, Housing and Foundation Boards of Governors volunteer countless hours sharing their experience and time in service to our community. Last night we held an Appreciation Dinner to thank them for all they do for St. Joseph’s.
Congrats to health care leaders in the Guelph & Area Ontario Health Team for being selected as one of the early local OHTs to have your application approved. Good to have Minister @celliottability in Guelph yesterday. @CamGuthrie @MPPArnottWHH @djwormald
