I remember my very first agenda on campus with Dery Elijah. At the time, rumours were flying everywhere that BBY was a wicked man, and all sorts of fabricated stories were being told about him.
I honestly wanted to meet BBY so badly…not to judge him based on what people were saying, but to hear from the man himself and understand who he really was.
Then, the very first time I met him, I learnt a life lesson I will never forget:
When you’re disciplined, focused, and people cannot find a genuine reason to fight you, they will sometimes create stories just to destroy your name.
Ɔdɛɛfoɔ, the life story you shared with us that day touched me deeply. It is one of those conversations that stays with you long after it ends.
And with time, you have not only spoken about who you are,you have proven it through your actions, your resilience, and the way you have carried yourself.
Today, I understand even better that not every story told about a person is the truth. Sometimes, you have to meet the person, hear their story, and judge for yourself.
Your story cannot be forgotten, Ɔdɛɛfoɔ. Your journey is an inspiration, and your best chapters are still ahead.
May prosperity be kind to you, Dr. 🙏❤️
May your name continue to speak for you where you are not present.
God bless you abundantly. ❤️🙏
Earlier today, I had the opportunity to witness H.E. John Dramani Mahama’s address to the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
I was pleased to hear the President call on African leaders to ensure that every dollar counts for their citizens.
As we continue to advocate for a fairer global financial architecture, our leaders must equally strengthen probity, accountability and the responsible use of public resources at home.
Global reform and domestic accountability must go hand in hand.

🚨What a story! 🚨
He was offered Pharmacy instead of Medicine at UDS. He pursued Pharmacy for two years but, midway through the journey, made the bold decision to leave and pursue Medicine at KNUST,a path he believed was his calling from Above.
He came to KNUST, thrived in the political space, and eventually won the College President position (HESA). He later pursued an SRC ambition, but it did not materialize.
Today, he is a Medical Doctor.
Congratulations @Dr__BBY
