The best photo from your wedding is probably on an uncle's phone.
You'll never see it unless you ask. I'm a solo founder in Vietnam building a way to get it. Thread:
@vasughs@X@GoAligned Starting from current consistency instead of an ideal goal is smart. Most habit apps fail because day one asks for a version of you that doesn't exist yet.
@AurelioVolle@marclou@levelsio The best ones I've seen don't feel like onboarding at all. You do the main thing in the first minute and the account setup happens around it.
@TamiMagnin Three parties in a week is a lot. For the 25th, an easy idea: ask guests to bring or send one old photo with you two and put them up as a slideshow. People love finding themselves in the 1990s pictures.
@myintelbrief Good catch. I have a similar split: couples hosting one wedding versus planners running many events a year. Same product, totally different next step.
@Jatin92 Three weeks is the stage where everything feels urgent. One small thing that saves a lot of chasing later: decide now how guests will send you their photos, so you're not collecting from 40 WhatsApp chats afterward. Congratulations.
@toshit_singh A friend's intro, but one step removed. Not your friend buying, your friend introducing you to someone who actually has the problem. For event tools that's usually a planner or venue manager.
@jeenicaaa Love this. Something physical people leave behind beats a signature. Only risk is the one guest who goes back for a second leaf with jam on their thumb.
@KhalilNoaman Trying it: every guest's photos from your wedding or party, in one album, by scanning a QR. No app for guests. Would love your take on whether that lands in 5 seconds.
@AchillesonX Joysnap, for anyone hosting a wedding or party. Guests scan a QR and their photos and videos land in one album, no app for them. Solo founder, building from Vietnam. https://t.co/ahy1ISkZC0
@BrekkyGoody The unplugged ceremony plus phones-out reception combo is the best of both. Nobody blocks the aisle, and you still get every angle of the party later.
@TianQiu9390 Network first, at least for me. Posting links straight into replies got me flagged quickly. Useful replies without a pitch seem to be what builds anything here. Users come slower than people make it sound.
