@Dougbarnett Hawaii is SO MUCH BETTER. You left out beach which is mostly why you go. Worth the longer flight (and only slightly more expensive now) to get away from constant harrassing, trying to scam and/or sell you something. You never feel safe. This isn’t even a contest IMO.
@LuckeyUte Whit was not staying at Utah for five more years. Just because he is continuing to coach, doesn’t mean it would have been at Utah. This Michigan job opening up was a total fluke but Whitt had to jump due to the timing. Without this specific job opening up he’d be unemployed
@AMarkham_UN I like you @AMarkham_UN but this is a terrible take. Utah have zero love for Oregon. I’ll bet it’s 90/10 Ute fans rooting for Texas Tech. And why should we live in some hypothetical future Big10 world today? This is just dead wrong IMO.
@BoozeCougs The “winds of change”’is just NIL $$$. I love how you pretend it’s something more than that. Those boys will flip again with a better offer.
@BYU4eva It was an early-start, first conference game of the year with a brand-new QB and offensive system. How is that the ideal circumstance? It’s not possible that Utah is playing better now than they were then?
@rhancoug17@KIRSoccer NIL is why BYU made such big strides so quickly. Utes actually had to recruit the old-fashioned way. And Utah had one bad season that happened to coincide with their first year in the B-12. Take that one outlier out and it’s a different story.
@nb41195332@TexasPreacher Right. Salvation just comes down to being on the right side of semantics. That’s not what Christ taught. He taught that by their fruits shall ye know them, not by their particular definition of the Godhead. Nobody is going to heaven or hell on a technicality.
95%+ of New Ecom Brands Fail. Here’s Why.
Not because their marketing is bad…
Not because they’re not using cost caps or A+ campaigns…
But because they try to sell things nobody actually wants.
And no matter how good your marketing is, you can’t beat low demand.
Instead of forcing people to buy your product, you should focus on finding where demand already exists.
But here’s the issue:
Sure, you can use spy tools or the Ad Library to find a hot, trending TikTok product.
But that’s just one hot product...
Not a major shift in global market trends.
Catching a hot product early can take you to 7 figures.
Catching a market shift early can take you to 9 figures.
Today, I want to break down how to spot market trends before they explode using a tool called Particl.
Full disclosure: This is a #PaidPartnershipParticl reached out and asked me to share my honest opinion of the platform.
Hopefully, this breakdown helps you decide whether it’s worth your time.
Let’s dive in:
Inside the Particl Dashboard
You can view different data sets inside their dashboard, but let’s break down the two main ones:
1. Company Explorer
This lets you search for competitor brands and pull detailed insights, including:
- Sales volume over time
- Best-selling products (by volume)
- Recent email campaigns they’ve sent
- Sales distribution across different product types
- Product price distribution (both % of product prices and % of revenue)
- Product ratings (so you can see which products are rated best)
What makes Particl different from other tools?
It doesn’t just estimate sales based on website traffic.
Instead, it pulls data from web scraping, third-party providers, & credit card data, making it as close to real numbers as possible.
The best use case?
If you already run a brand and want to spy on competitors to see how you compare.
If you’re considering adding a new product line and want to see how similar products are performing.
2. Product Explorer
This lets you search by keyword (e.g., “dog collar”) and track:
Sales volume & trends for every company selling it.
Comparison data to Google Trends or other sources.
Emerging brands that are selling it well.
But here’s the thing…
While this is useful if you already know what you want to sell, you can get similar insights from cheaper (or even free) tools.
And it still doesn’t solve the real goal of this post:
Finding market shifts before they happen.
Which brings us to the real game-changers inside Particl:
The Features That Actually Help You Spot Trends
3. Market Trends
This feature is wild.
It lets you track explosive growth among brands over different time frames.
Meaning you can find small, fast-scaling brands before anyone else even notices.
If I were in the research phase for a new brand, I’d subscribe to Particl just for this feature.
And also for…
4. Market & Trend Analysis
Let’s say you wanted to launch a Home & Garden brand.
Here, you can get in-depth data on:
- Overall niche trends (is the market growing or shrinking?)
- Mean & median product price points
- Market price distribution (% of product prices & revenue)
- Which products inside the niche are thriving (or failing)
The biggest value?
If you already have a niche in mind, this helps you choose the right products and price points upfront.
So you avoid costly mistakes before even launching.
Final Thoughts
At $250/month, is Particl worth it?
I’d say yes in these 2 cases:
1. If you're in the Market/Product Research Phase
You’ll get valuable insights on what to sell & more importantly, whether it’s worth selling at all.
This could save you months of wasted time and thousands of dollars upfront.
2. If You’re Already an Established Brand in a Competitive Space
You’ll get unmatched insights into what your competitors are doing—better than any tool I’ve seen.
Still on the fence?
You can try Particl’s 14-day free trial and decide for yourself!
I pretty much constantly am looking to other companies for marketing inspiration. I’m signed up to so many brand’s email marketing, SMS posts, etc. but it’s hard to keep up in real time with their tactics.
@ParticlHQ just launched a new Events & Assets feature to do this for you.
Events: See when they have a new product launch, sitewide discount, discontinue a product and more
Assets: They are pulling in every Marketing Email, SMS, Instagram, Tik tok post so we can better understand a company's marketing strategy.
This already has been and will continue to be my #1 research tool for brand direction for us.
I can't believe THIS tool exists.
10 years ago, we used to pay consultants $500,000 to find out on data like this.
It's like Sherlock for DTC.
We just launched two more product lines for our client in the health sector.
We utilized @Particlhq's data to find out which product is winning and figured out with ads what's working to position ourselves better.
Now you can finally have:
No guessing.
No “fingers crossed” marketing.
Just data-driven facts on the market.
For 2025, we're using Particl's trend analysis to map our new product roadmaps. The data is that good.
I wanted to share because Particl is running a BFCM special: 50% off your first month.
If you're in a competitive space or planning product launches for next year, you need this intel. Their holiday insights alone will be worth it.
We’re just a few weeks away from the craziest time of year in Ecommerce.
If I were to leave you with a single piece of advice between now and the big day:
Please don’t leave your marketing to chance.
I’ve been there, done that. Flying by the seat of my pants, just winging it.
And it didn’t work out well.
I was extremely underprepared.
However, my big takeaway was → Study what others have done well.
I have a superpower: I can give detailed competitor analysis in seconds.
Want proof?
> Goli sell around 70 units of their best-selling product per day.
> The best-selling product for Ridge is the Ridge Frequent Flyer Kit
> White Peach is the most popular flavour for Liquid IV

I had no idea software like this was even a thing, and now I know I feel 10x smarter.

In the first 18 months of Carte Blanche we lost over $50,000 from ordering wrong quantities of SKUs, sizes, and colors.
The easiest way around this would be to simply see into other companies which SKUs, colors, sizes, etc. are selling the most, and copy them.
We've been using @ParticlHQ for a while now and it has been super helpful for us by allowing us to look directly into competitors' stores to see which of their products are selling well.
2 days ago, I showed a guy Particl.
This guy is head of growth for a pretty sizeable DTC brand, and they're gearing up for the usual BFCM chaos:
• Throw a sale
• Send 7 emails
• Hope for the best
I asked him if they had a real strategy, and he gave me that look. You know the one:
“We're just here with the discounts...”
So I pulled up @ParticlHQ and showed him – no 'similar' website traffic fluff, just actual sales numbers from brands like his. I then showed him their 2024 BFCM Report, and he darn near lost his head.
• “This is real-time data?”
• "We can see our competitors' sales volume and best-selling colors?"
• “And we’ve been winging it this whole time?!”
Yep. Welcome to 2024.
This Black Friday is still projected to be bigger than ever. And the brands poised to crush it? They’re using Particl:
• Skims
• Hexclad
• Chubbies
• Gymshark
• Fashion Nova
(Should I keep going?)
No guessing. No “fingers crossed” marketing. Just data-driven facts on the market.
If you’re serious about making this BFCM your best one yet, stop throwing darts in the dark and get the report.

Get it. Use it. Win Black Friday.
Full disclosure: Yes, this post is sponsored by Particl. But after a few weeks of using their platform, I'd have no problem telling you if it didn’t live up to the hype. Spoiler: It does.
