@jimmy_dore Planet of the Humans did tell the truth: the "solutions" to the climate crisis are a for-profit scam.
But the problem is real.

Everyone who says "1922 had the same temps as 2024" has never looked at the actual data.
So here it is. 144 years. NASA.
1922 and 1944 are orange dots.
2024 is where the line stops climbing — for now.
This isn't a narrative. It's climate reality of our time.

Large parts of India have been approaching “feels like” temps near 50°C. Some coastal regions may reach ~33°C wet-bulb. At 35°C wet-bulb, heat and humidity overwhelm the human body’s ability to cool itself. Survival becomes measured in hours, especially for the elderly & infants
the Korean team’s predictions for the “far future” – the year 2150 and beyond. It shows most of Chile and Brazil, much of Canada and the American Midwest, most of north Africa, southern Europe and the Middle East as uninhabitable. https://t.co/nwTmfjEPri
"The new data illuminated sources that have historically been undercounted, such as wildfires and methane leaks. This methodology indicates that emissions are about 74 gigatons a year, not 59 gigatons, as the old tracker had estimated using UN numbers." https://t.co/ljU4YDr8re
governments are cleaning up air pollution faster than the IPCC and most climate modellers have assumed..Lower pollution is better for crops & public health. But aerosols..reflect sunlight. This shield of aerosols has kept the planet cooler, possibly by as much as 0.7 °C globally'
A commenter recently asked me why the political class is so willing to let everything be destroyed, when all they'd be ruling over are the ashes of the Empire. For them, however, it's not the ashes. As courtiers of the ruling class, they are protected members of society that not only get saved from the destruction, but profit from it as well.
To all those who expect to still be alive ten years from now, please pay attention to the first four rows of the right hand column.
And to the many world leaders of age, please still care about the right hand column.
How capitalism destroys the world and limits innovation, rather than the reverse.
Capitalism can never be relied on for basic needs such as food security or even healthcare, it only serves to accumulate and maximize profit.
What an accurate take from him.
