@GG_MacM13420 @thejackhopkins The landscaping company who used to do our yard used legal migrants. It was immaculate and reasonably priced. When visas became limited, he couldn't bring any more in for seasonal work. He had to hire locals. The cost went up, and the quality of work declined greatly.

@RossKneeDeep @daynasteele If you look at some of those other countries, you'll see that they often have an extremely high tax rate so they can provide "free" healthcare, higher education, etc. In the end, nothing is really free. Also, those who can afford it often pay for private coverage for better care.

@RavMABAY I think the point is that there was a connection between two people who are very different. The descriptions were there to emphasize that we can reach past our differences and see each other as humans. There are too few examples of that these days.
