@ZFlawles1s Though Maine much like other NE states is more willing to split ticket, Collins was the last incumbent to beat polarization in a federal race and it's just really hard to believe she does it again in a blue wave year when so many recent election trends are against her
The unfortunate reality is this set of circumstances was the only way Jackson was going to have a real shot at being senate nominee (and it's definitely not guaranteed)
Maine Democratic hypothetical final gubernatorial matchups from RCV:
π΅ Shenna Bellows 59%, π΅ Troy Jackson 41%
π΅ Nirav Shah 57%, π΅ Troy Jackson 43%
π΅ Shenna Bellows 51%, π΅ Nirav Shah 49%
The Ohio Democrats Progressive Caucus is unhappy with Amy Acton over a statement she recently saying she does not support "boys playing in girls sports," and calling the issue settled law in Ohio.
The group says that statement will cost her votes and volunteers.
There is a powerful movement of working class people in the state of Maine, and millions more across America who are ready to send a progressive fighter to the Senate. Iβve been fighting for that movement my whole life β and Iβm sure as hell not backing down now, when this fight is needed most.
Iβm in. And we're going to defeat Susan Collins. Maine deserves a Senator that will fight for working families.
I don't get this, because Platner just got the most votes in Maine primary history. He had the support of a supermajority of Maine Democrats until this allegation.

@electionsjoe She's so pissed off this race is now going to be about her track record voting with Rs 95% and not about her opponent leaking scandals like a faucet
@ALleftist It's understandable to a certain extent this whole debacle has been fucky but we got 6 days to settle this and I think he'll ultimately drop out and the Dem will win, it's hard to see Collins winning while Pingree wins by 20 no candidate in the last 6 years has beat polarization
@DeepNotShallow@KyleClark My first time seeing Kyle was during the CO-04 Republican primary debate and he chefed them so hard bruh get this man up there with the president candidates
