@TKavulla Travis, it doesn’t seem to be merely inertia, with the prosecutor, jurors, and even the victim’s family opposed to the execution. Given the willfulness of proceeding, it’s worse than appalling.
@MichaelGiberso3@TKavulla Absolutely. The price cap was based on rates set in the 90s. It’s not clear the capped rates recovered costs when they were set. They certainly didn’t when they expired.
@TKavulla Maryland has a sad history with price caps. Price caps in the early 2000s prevented competitive entry. When the caps expired, residential rates jumped by 50 to 75%.
@knowledgeprob Straight outta California. Proponents - monopolies or competitive - pay for intervenors to participate in proceedings like mergers. Of course, the level of compensation is also contested. As a result, the WorldCom-Sprint merger may still be pending there. I’m exaggerating. A bit
@notthefakeSVP My parents gave me a subscription for Christmas when I was a kid in the 60s. I lived for the arrival of the magazine. I wish you could get that kind of sports writing in one place so routinely. I still have a few of them.
