One of the worst things that is done now is blanket devaluation of player or team performance when it comes against competition that isn’t the very best of the best. There is a world in sports where recognizing quality skill
and execution can/should be able to be accomplished without having to immediately go to the “well look who it was against “ attack. Gets tired.
@PoupartNFL Because it’s the most valuable player, not the best player. Remove Tua, and what do you think the drop off is to Mike White? Now remove Tyreek, and what do you think the drop off is to Waddle? Compare those two drop offs, and that’s why Tua is the more VALUABLE, not the better.
@OmarKelly Don’t forget Hitler won. It’s about who has the greatest influence on the world. Putin’s war against Ukraine has galvanized NATO like nothing since the Cold War. It’s completely changed the defense status of Europe and pulled us off counterterrorism for the first time in 20+ yrs.
@PoupartNFL Why is this even a discussion? Those plays where @cheetah gets wide open downfield are the vast, vast minority. What about all the insanely accurate intermediate routes Tua hits, where we initiates the throw often before/as Tyreek enters his break? That’s elite.
@PoupartNFL The thing is, how many of those plays actually happen per game? 1? Maybe 2? What Tua does consistently is hit Tyreek on intermediate routes anywhere—in the middle, out to the boundary—in stride, and he often initiates his throws before Tyreek even makes his break. That’s elite.
@OmarKelly I don’t remember when the play happened, but Riley saw the RB come out of the backfield into the flat and right away chased him down to cover the check down, and made an awesome tackle by literally pulling on the pants of the RB; it looked like all he had gripped was fabric.
@OmarKelly I’ve never understood the idea that there are “bad” teams in the NFL. Literally every NFL team is composed only of the best players in the world. That’s why it feels like every NFL game is decided by 1 score, and we had that one week with a record number of walk off field goals.
@AndrewFazz @OmarKelly As you said, it’s a parable. It’s a metaphorical story meant to illustrate a point. A lot of people (more educated than I) believe that hell is a place where you are completely disconnected from God. That could be the difference between comfort and torment: a closeness to God.
@finsup1399 @OmarKelly I believe that all Revelations specifically mentions in the eschatology portion is that on the day of judgement, those who aren’t chosen to be judged are cast into the lake of fire with Satan. That’s all it says. A lot of the beliefs of hell and Lucifer come from Paradise Lost.
@McSwainks@MikMcDaniel That felt like the refs just trying to apologize to the Chiefs, but compounding one bad call on top of another bad call. He was so clearly moving backwards, and the sideline judge was right there to watch it happen.
@MikMcDaniel If it’s a crowd like that, DPI is never going to be called on a last ditch Hail Mary. If it’s 1 on 1 somehow, and it’s an egregious DPI, that’ll probably be called. But never in a crowd like that on the last play of the game.
@DrV305@MiamiHEAT@HeatvsHaters That’s what Mike McDaniel said about getting Jalen Ramsey: that when he was with the 49ers, game planning twice a season for Ramsey was so hard, he figured it’d be easier to just trade for him when he got to the Dolphins lol.
@OmarKelly I hate disagreed with you Omar, but my favorite was the conga line. No doubt, though, the dolphins have the most incentive and fun to watch celebrations in all the nfl.
