Don’t let @UKLabour mantra be Votes Votes Votes. Plans for boosting state education are horribly thin. Tax on private schools does little for the state sector. Give each headteacher the funding to make a difference while longer term issues are addressed 11yr olds can’t wait 5 yrs
Proud of @MayorofLondon agenda to fight for clean air for London’s kids ULEZ a Tory requirement so where is x-party consensus? Instead cheap politics to exploit disgruntled voters in place of govt funding to improve scrappage scheme @UKLabour must defend Sadiq not veiled attacks
After losing Uxbridge by-election Starmer says in an election policy matters.
“And we are doing something very wrong if policies put forward by the Labour Party end up on each and every Tory leaflet. We’ve got to face up to that and learn the lessons.”
It is with enormous sadness that we share the news of the death of a much-loved member of our @PlymouthLabour family, Cllr Brian Vincent.

One of the most sensible takes on ‘cancel culture’ I’ve seen. Sensible, honest, smart. I’m posting the video directly as Times Radio tweeted it with a clickbait and somewhat misleading headline that unintentionally confirmed his point. More of this please.
@roberta_mock @RoyalHolloway@PlymUni Fantastic news Roberta. And well-deserved. So many good memories of our time together @PlymUni Coffee & catch-up when you get a moment?
Not only Australia! @TennisAustralia hopelessly fails to explain its decision. It’s not about individual choice but what appears to be a corrupt and greed-driven process which jumps through hoops to protect the profits of @AustralianOpen This avid tennis fan will quietly boycott
Few seconds into @BBCRadio4 ‘Rethinking Education’ programme & @amolrajan describes @BrilliantClub as helping people get into the best universities. It doesn’t. It promotes access to the most selective universities. Confusing the two is part of our UK HE problem @UniversitiesUK
Brilliant. Work of local govt officers and employees so often overlooked or taken for granted. Not this time! Congrats to David and all at PCC who have contributed to Plymouth’s transformation over the years.
We’re so proud of our Service Director for Economic Development David Draffan for being awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for his dedication and commitment to supporting and developing Plymouth’s business economy https://t.co/gQVtrL6xcP

We didn’t want a neat summary of institutional accountability. It’s a drama! We wanted Osborne led away in handcuffs. And not a seventh series. Damp squib ending #LineofDutyFinale
I liked #LineofDutyFinale. Someone very greedy & mediocre gets repeatedly promoted above his competence, and whoever did the promoting gets off scot free. Meanwhile, systemic failings are written off as a few bad apples. A neat summary of institutional accountability in the UK.
