Wat een goed en belangrijk stuk. Schatting is dat Leiden faculteit Geesteswetenschappen slechts 41% van rijksinkomsten aan kerntaken onderzoek en onderwijs kan besteden. Zal bij vele andere faculteiten in NL niet heel anders zijn. Bezuinig op randzaken en bescherm kerntaken.

@LeaMullerFunk Postnatal baby brain fog was so bad; I just wanted interview to be over and get back to my baby. I think postponing interview for a year would be ideal solution for both committee and applicant.

@LeaMullerFunk I was in the same situation in 2019, due on June 1st with ERC interview on June 11. I went with my newborn in tow but in hindsight should have given it a pass. It meant I couldn’t enjoy last weeks of pregnancy or first week with my son, constantly worrying about timings and prep

Mooi debat gevoerd bij @NWONieuws over hun strategie. Met @MarcelLevi, @HesterBijl en @mariejosevantol over o.a. fundamenteel onderzoek, sociale veiligheid (wat is dat?) en wetenschappelijke kwaliteit (scherp op zijn). Daarbij moet wat de samenleving nodig heeft leidend zijn.
