Boomer take alert, but I'll own it 💯...
Jackson Chourio is not a left handed hitter. He never has been.
Yet last night he batted left handed in the 9th.
Playing MLB should never be trivial. Many guys bust their asses for years and never get the opportunity.
Terrible look.
The Brewers are 57-33. Which is crazy.
However, the Dodgers are 60-32. In MLB’s current form, the league exists to crown them World Series champions on a yearly basis.
Also, cool that you can hop on a train from basically anywhere in the Salt Lake Valley for $2.50, and in this case, takes you straight to the arena. Nice not to have to worry about parking.
Ok I’ll admit. Found another cheap ticket on seat geek and watched Darryn Peterson again last tonight. I think he’ll be good.
Danny Ainge just knows how to build good basketball teams,
(I’m a single guy on summer break as a teacher, so what else am I gonna do? I go back to work in a few weeks though).
Also, it’s weird that people around the nation care about what happened in a tiny gym on this random hill in Salt Lake. Also weird to think that Magic vs Bird in college happened here.

Peterson is insanely good and probably agree with this take, but I do think AJ Dybantsa is kinda being slept on/disrespected. Watched him a ton this year, and I thought he was a lock to be an MVP level player someday. Insanely good too.
Darryn Peterson is, was, and always will be the best player in this draft class
The NBA Overthought the shit out of that
Can score anytime he touches the ball from anywhere on the court.
Special talent.
Not sure I agree with the Kyrie comp. Kyrie had crazy handles. Game 7 Kyrie is one of the best players I’ve ever seen. Darryn Peterson has good handles too, but different from Kyrie’s in an easy smooth way.
Carries himself like Kawhi on the court. Sort of a Harden/Shai kinda game but think it’ll be better. Silky smooth jumper, which I hate to say, but kinda reminds me of Ray Allen’s.
My NBA comp for Darryn Peterson is Kyrie Irving
Not so much in style of play with ball handling and finishing but in the fact they both have super high skill set. They both are three level scorers who can create their own shot really well. Also they both can play on and off ball
@MaxsAllStars Totally get the argument against. Had good teams but wasn’t a championship level coach either. Guessing it’s more for his influence on the way modern basketball is played today.
OFFICIAL: The Miami HEAT have acquired Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis Jr. from Milwaukee in exchange for Tyler Herro, Kasparas Jakučionis, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel’el Ware, three 1st round picks (2026, 2031 & 2033), a 2030 1st round pick swap and a 2033 2nd round pick.
Kind of healing piano music. Solid speech writing by the writers. The “I’m gonna take a selfie with you” was a little cringy to include in this. Overall, not a terribly produced video by his team. Don’t know if he actually loves Milwaukee or not, but that’s ok. Thanks for the memories, fun times, and the championship Giannis!
Overall a fun day yesterday at summer league. Had the 2k cam view. My mediocre takeaways:
1) Cam Boozer knows how to read defenses and passes well. Always knows where the open man is when their defender sags to help. Already has an NBA level body. Lock to be a good NBA player.
2) Darryn Peterson clearly with the most potential of he and Boozer. Kind of a Kawhi type relaxed personality where the game comes easily. Smooth stroke. Lean more towards him being on a Shai/Harden MVP level, but a small chance I could see him struggle with NBA size and become kind of average. Seems to have an incredible bag of ball skills though.
3) Overall have loved living in Utah and the people are nice. That said, can see why Jazz fans are viewed as some of the most obnoxious in the league. Makes for a good home court advantage, but also one of the weirdest fanbases I’ve been around. (Not everyone, just some. Not sure what it is. Hard to explain.)

Rookie Yao Ming blocks Shaq’s first 3 shots in his first game against him!
Shaq: 31 PTS, 13 REB
Yao: 10 PTS, 10 REB, 6 BLK

Watched Bosnia and Herzegovina soccer practice with a couple guys from work a few weeks ago in Salt Lake. A few observations about their fans:
-Tall country and I say that as a 6’4” guy. Can see why the Yugoslav nations are good at basketball
-Good looking women
-Majority of the fans wore #11 Džeko jerseys
