@theepicmap Agreed, and I take it at least six times a year to visit my family in St. Charles, MO.

@PolitlcsGlobal@Ordo_Militaris@politico If this happens…
1.) We’ll finally get a new edition of National Geographic Atlas of the World (their official atlas that’s is the size of a small child).
2.) I’ll be baffled how Alberta broke away BEFORE Quebec.
@landysknee Michigan hasn’t forgotten the 90s…how touching. My love to Detroit fans, living in the good old days.
I miss the Avalanche/ Red Wing rivalry too.
Personally my current top three (as an Avs fan) would be 1.) Stars 2.) Knights 3.) Oilers/Wild (tossup).
I have a good news bad news update.
Good News: I was offered a job on 10 April! My start date is (rather, it was) Monday, 27 April.
Bad News: I received a call from the hiring manager for the company that on Monday 20 April the board elected to merge departments thereby dissolving the position I was scheduled to start. My hiring has been put on hold, and may not happen after all.
Reality: I’m still unemployed.
Come on, Jack use your influence as a Catholic podcaster more responsibly.
Who is the successor and keeper of the keys? Whose office was promised by our Lord, God, and Savior, Jesus Christ, that the gates of hell would not prevail against it?
Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, and unto God what is God’s.
I converted to Catholicism as an adult 11 years ago.
I was definitely in a very very small minority.
Now the timeline is wall to wall Catholic converts.
Highest numbers ever.
We're so back.
I’m a Byzantine Catholic. I’m fully part of the body of the Catholic Church in every sense. I’m sharing the same faith, dogma, sacraments, and communion with Rome.
The Byzantine tradition reflects a different liturgical, spiritual, and theological expression of that same faith. It does not contradict Catholic doctrine; it complements and enriches it. The Eastern Catholic Churches have different rites and traditions, but the same communion with the Bishop of Rome.
That is fundamentally different from Protestant denominations.
Would a Calvinist say the same of a Methodist?
Would a Lutheran say the same of the Church of Christ?
Would an Anglican accept the same understanding of authority and sacraments as a Baptist?
NO!
Those groups differ on core theological questions authority, sacraments, ecclesiology, and sometimes even the nature of salvation itself.
Catholic rites are not denominations. They are different traditions within one Church that share the same faith.
@menavisualss@PHYS878 When word of his murder came out, I remember how much the archeological community was devastated by it. Yet, at the same time proud. He remained determined to preserve history and prevent ISIS from gaining the chance to destroy it.
