Our school is raising money to support our classrooms! We have some friends that will never be able to get donations in order to receive prizes. Help me help them! A flat $30 donation goes a long way! https://t.co/PJNgeRLREK
When asking 5th graders what some of their favorite parts of fifth grade are within the first couple weeks of school, we got the response of “writing, because we get to do Starbucks mode”! Woohoo! @OldStateOtters#apposhine
When students struggle socially and emotionally to get involved in a lesson, @MissTucci2 meets them where they are! Finding volume of pieces of a tower this student built while "refusing" to work. @OldStateOtters#apposhine
@MissTucci2@OldStateOtters The conversations around the similarities and differences of these two student chosen strategies were what every teacher dreams of hearing! Thank you @pgliljedahl for bringing #thinkingclassrooms into our lives!
Over the past two weeks my co-teacher and I jumped into Building Thinking Classrooms in pretty much every subject. The kids are engaged, our curriculum is super easy to transform into thinking tasks, and I've never been happier at work! @pgliljedahl@MissTucci2#apposhine

I've read a few education books that made me think, "This makes so much sense, I have to do this" and Building Thinking Classrooms is at the top of that list. What a masterpiece by @pgliljedahl, I can't wait to implement
☑️ “Harnessing the power of culture & ethnicity in math provides us opportunities to challenge societal issues & norms that limit how historically excluded groups-particularly BIPOC-participate in democracy.” Taking 📝 fr this gem by @loumatthewslive, Jones, & Parker this week~
Serious question: what happens when there are THIS MANY open positions. Like if one teacher is out at a school, you get a sub. If many are out, you also have other teachers cover on their prep. What happens when there are regularly double-digit openings?
