I'm finding myself increasingly disinterested in football in its current state. I love the game, but this version is essentially financial chess rather than developing youth, scouting hidden gems, tactics and atmosphere. At the heart of all sport is competition & that’s dieing.
👕 A small tribute to Kevin Keegan at the entrance to #ACMuseoa
King Kev's match-worn shirts from the fixtures he played against @Athletic_en whilst representing @England and @HSV#AthleticClub 🦁
A statue would be fitting. A stand bearing his name? Undoubtedly deserved. But Keegan's greatest monument already exists.
It is the football club he rescued twice. The generations of supporters he taught to believe. The roar inside SJP that still carries the spirit of his side.
He arrived as a player. He returned as a manager. He leaves us all as something greater. Kevin Keegan was the man who put Newcastle United back on the map.
Rest in peace, King. 🖤🤍 #NUFC

This is an absolute disgrace and should enrage you regardless of the club you support.
We all know how little “legacy fans” as these clubs chose to define us matter to those in charge in 2026 but instances like this should be shouted about from the rooftops. It’s disgusting.
Thank you, Kevin.
For believing in us.
For making us believe.
For giving us Newcastle United back.
For giving us memories that will last forever.
You will always be King Kev.
Rest in peace, Kevin Keegan 🖤🤍💔

I still think about this moment. Kevin Keegan fronting up to Toon fans after the shock sale of Andy Cole to Man Utd in 1995.
He owned the decision, and felt he owed them an explanation.
Months later @alanshearer arrived and history changed forever.
Seems strange to post a resignation video at this time, but it’s a measure of the man; hard to imagine anyone else doing anything quite like this.
The greatest ever to do it, in every aspect that mattered.
Rest in peach, King Kev. The best.
🖤🤍
Words can't describe how much we loved him. He loved us, too. A legend gone, taking a little piece of us with him. Never be another like it. Keegan is our king. Always will be. KK 👑
No sporting figure comes anywhere near Kevin Keegan for me in terms of the inspiration, hope, love, belief, pride & passion he gave us at Newcastle United.
I cannot thank you enough sir. Rest in Peace King Kev ✊🏻🤍🖤👑
King Kev? No, he’s now Saint Kev. In Newcastle (the city he revitalised, on and off the pitch, like no other footballer has), at least. And at the heart of the horrible empty feeling in the stomach is the fact that he never got to walk out at SJP one last time.
