She may have raised you or simply loved you like her own. Even if she’s now singing with the angels she deserves a tribute in print.

Governor Abbott, your “over $15,000 per student” claim as an all-time high is eye-catching! But digging in, it mixes everyday school costs with one-time expenses like new roofs or buses, and, of course, inflation continuously shrinks what that money can buy. Here’s a question you cannot DOGE oh we mean dodge: “In 2022-2023, Texas spent $16,792 per student when counting capital outlays and debt—35% more than the $12,389 for operations. Why highlight a total that includes one-time costs instead of what schools can use day-to-day?”
Democrats 🤝 fake news media
They are spreading lies that school choice will cost more than per-student funding for public schools.
They're way off. The average funding per student for public school is over $15,000.

@dwdranch@BriscoeCain@DrewSpringer We are curious which government postings you think should no longer be published in newspapers. As for the claim that "no one reads the paper anymore," our loyal subscribers and those buying off the rack would strongly disagree.
🚨NEW U.S. Jobs Report🚨
The Labor Market continues to indicate weakness even as nonfarm employment increased by 227K in November and the prior two months were revised up by 56K, but 33K were government jobs so private sector jobs are slowing substantially after declining by 2K in October.
The household employment had a decline in the Labor Force 193K while employment declined by 355K and unemployment increased by 161K (up nearly 1 million over last year) bringing the unemployment rate up to 4.2% (up from 3.7% a year ago).
Average weekly earnings are up 3.7% over the last year but remain down since Jam. 2021 when correcting for inflation.
There are some bright spots in this report but I’m concerned about the weaknesses which was a major factor in the election for Trump.
If Trump can push for *pro-growth* policies and avoid protectionism and overspending, we can have a much stronger labor market and economy for Americans to prosper.

As expected, some are changing their tune about the Labor Market since the election with a different president after trying to make a troubled labor market look “good” for years.
Consistency isn’t that hard unless there’s an agenda…
Masterclass In Meticulous Timing
In a remarkable display of journalistic coordination: six national news outlets, each released the same story at the same moment, with posts so uniformly worded you’d think they followed a script. It’s a privilege to witness such synchronized reporting.
Now the challenge: which one to read first? Decisions, decisions.
This was impressive feat of coordination—if not exactly a compelling reason to keep scrolling.
@thehill@realDonaldTrump How about inviting journalists from independent, small-town newspapers from around the United States who are committed to quality reporting and aren’t influenced by big advertisers or political pressures? I know a guy.

@DMChronicle@elonmusk There's too much energy in following the horse race of national and statewide elections and not enough energy explaining the issues and their impacts.
If anyone saw or read about the November 5th Minuteman III missile test and felt concerned, here’s what you should know: this was a scheduled, routine test conducted by the U.S. Air Force to ensure the reliability and safety of our defense systems.
Officials emphasize that this test was scheduled in advance and is part of ongoing efforts to ensure a safe, effective, and secure strategic defense system.
These tests happen periodically and are not related to current events.
