So claiming it’s all real is like saying this is a home cooked meal from scratch and, by implication, higher quality.

@ZachWeiner Amateur here, but I think it depends on what you mean by meaningful. In VFX/CG simulation, understanding emergent properties like that play a large role. I also think it’s relevant to understanding life from atoms and consciousness from neurons. Big questions heavily debated.

Also, I think this is like when recorded media became prevalent in the 80s (VCRs and Cassettes) and later the Internet. It could open up market to more people participating, rather than reduce it.

@tvaziri In the original release of Bladerunner, Bryant tells Deckard six replicants escaped and one got fried breaking into Tyrell. The 5th is never accounted for in the movie. This was fixed in later cuts with a change of the dialogue to make it “two”.

@JohnDiesattheEn Whether or not it’s renewed it’s a betrayal of the audience to introduce a mystery that the writer doesn’t already know the solution to. It means that when they reveal, it will be shoehorned into whatever random weirdness they’ve already made canon. It will be unsatisfying.

You can’t say this chart is accurate* (*except for the other part not there or mentioned but just know I’m aware of it).

If you want hardcore action then Ghost in the Shell or Akira. (Not Miyazaki)

Then John called Rob and asked him if he was interested in doing the optical compositing for Star Wars. Rob was reluctant because he'd have to convert his optical printer to Vista Vision and it sounded like a pain in the ass, but he didn’t have anything else so he agreed.
