@emanningwrites This is basically the same Canes team that tore things up thru mid-Dec and with an AHL goalie starting too many games. Seasons ebb and flow. We are banking Cap Space for the deadline and have a huge asset coming - Nikishin - for the playoff run. He’s our real deadline acquisition

@corylav A big part of the strategy has yet to unfold: (i) signing/trading Necas; and (ii) being in position to prey on cap-constrained teams that need to dump/trade a quality player. Both will happen at some point over the coming days/weeks.
