IMO it's easier mentally to use Subscriptions rather than takeUntil operator for the clean up purposes. takeUntil operator has nuances about its position in the chain of operators. With Subscription it's always the same way - there's no room to make a mistake. Do this instead:
Yes, takeUntilDestroyed is great but it’s not easy to migrate code to it. You either need to pass DestroyRef to it or use it in an injection context.
I already had a lot of destroy$ = new Subject<void>(); in my codebase and called next() and complete() in ngOnDestroy.
So, I created a helper function called injectDestroy to create a destroy$ subject that would complete on destroy and this way I was able to remove almost every ngOnDestroy on my components.
Take a look at the before and after!
#angular
in the map file there were no decisions nor the things to "resolve". Although in the agent session "Initial Frontier" contained 4 items - [research], [prototype], and 2 [task]. I think it did research and prototype right away (and thus some .md files generated. Confusing...
@mattpocockuk Gave wayfinder a shot (using Gemini in Android Studio). Immediate feedback: It created 9 md files: map, 4 tickets, 1 resolution, 2 prototypes, implementation plan. Then it asked to review plan and tell if ready to implement. No directions to use to-spec or anything
maybe the problem was that I selected "Plan" instead of "Fast" mode... Also, I thought it would create artifacts in Github issues, but all files were created locally.
@mfpears "blame some shallow cosmetic thing"... No, they blame the framework and rewrite the whole thing in a different framework eventually coming to the same result 😂
@DoughBoyNico Wrong phrasing. It's not who you want to lose. It's who you want to win!
Why would I want ALW to lose? She is skilled, puts a lot of effort in. Just like many other players.
I don't particularly like Alshon, his demeanor on the court. But I wish him a victory. He deserves it
@Dutch_Guy Take a look at angular docs code. Last time I checked, they generated a separate stylesheet file for dark theme and loaded it conditionally when user would switch to dark theme
View Transitions + #Angular?
There is no better resource out there.
@dmitryaefimenko created absolute beast of an article covering this entire topic IN-DEPTH.
- code snippets
- animated examples
- StackBlitz
You get all you need!

See an alternative implementation using view transition resulting in pretty much identical effect with less code.

An article about integrating view-transitions into #Angular is incoming through Angular Space. Stay tuned!
@PPAtour@AndreiDaescuPkl@TweenerKing I wonder if he crossed the plane of the net before the ball did. If that's the case, that's a fault 😜
In any case, super cool!
@TweenerKing Pickleball has weird culture where a player can complain about a heckler or somebody simply walking in the background. Mental toughness is a part of the sport. Complaining about bubbles is the next level ridiculous. Pickleball should learn from beach volleyball in this regard
