Maaaaaaaan this is a bittersweet day ๐ฅฒ
@Coach_EJohnson is one of the best humans in this game. It was such a pleasure getting to work alongside him the last 4 years &, more importantly, getting to be his friend.
We will miss you, brotha, & will be less without you!

Downside: I am still the second most important 2007 Fairfield grad in college basketball
(Maybe tied with @bendoody? ๐)
Upside: Iโm now the most important 2007 Fairfield grad in Connecticut college basketball

A simple message with big meaning: "I am somebody." We are grateful to Rev. Jesse Jackson for helping teach generations of children to believe in themselves and in one another. Thank you for being part of our neighborhood. ๐๐
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Bobby Weir. We send him off the way he sent so many of us on our way: with a farewell that isnโt an ending, but a blessing.ย A reward for a life worth livin'. https://t.co/2qdBbh80v1

Every college team in every sport comes to campus at 0-0 and, until proven otherwise, they can win a national title.
To arbitrarily take that away because some playoff games werenโt that good on TV is taking away one of the best things about college sports.
Lots of folks saying a G5 playoff would make G5 schools irrelevant since they wonโt be in the CFP. Letโs examine that. This postseason, how many G5 teams were relevant? 2. Tulane and JMU. No one else. And they both got crushed. With an 8 team G5 playoff, 6 more teams have postseason relevancy and a chance to compete for a title that they can actually win, against other schools with similar financial profiles. They donโt get a pat on the head and a beatdown on the road as sacrificial lambs. Itโs a better deal for all of them.
@FfldFrank@FairfieldMBB Missed the late-season ESPN Bracket Busters (RIP) for those years.
2012-13: 8-5
2010-11: 8-3
2009-10: 7-4
And add a 7-4 for 2003-04.
Those are the years with 7+ NC wins in the era of playing 18-20 MAAC games.
And thatโs not counting postseason tourneys as NC games.
