@WolfTheRed @RabbiHarvey We’re out here fighting for our religion against the Nazis. Hope that you can get support from other pluralistic religious people. We’re in the fight with you.
The comments on this are disgusting. Not only is it removing the ability for a cis woman to be tall (I went to school with a couple of cis girls this height), but it's using his assault to make crude jokes.
Also, the tagging of JKR in a few of them is pathetic and telling.
@WolfTheRed is a dope dude. Really helps to have someone who’s a fellow pagan speak so consistently against hatred.
Any folkists can kindly go skydiving into an alligator pit.
Hey uh, @Diablo@Blizzard_Ent, might want to check up on some of your tattoos. Someone didn't do their research. Next to the Vegvisir reference here are a couple winged Othala runes, the winged variation is a modern creation with a racist origin. Might want to remove it.
Can be a quick fix. The symbol on the left here is the historical Othala rune which equates to the letter 'o'. The symbol on the right, which appears to be the reference for the symbol in the in-game tattoo is a Nazi symbol which does not appear in history prior to their usage.
Its cool to have viking references for the Barbarian's tattoos. It certainly fits. I was into the tattoo when I first noticed the Vegvisir, but then noticed the surrounding markings. Unfortunately time needs to be taken to make sure you're not referencing the wrong stuff.
Full disclosure, even the Othala rune without wings is common among neo-nazi / folkish / racist movements, but it's at least a historical symbol with common usage among inclusive Heathens as well. The wings makes it explicitly racist / Nazi.
The rune-poems for the Othala rune reference 'homeland, farm, family estate' which can be applicable within a Heathen spirituality, but has been twisted in racist movements. Attached is an explanation of the historical symbol, and its corruption from the Nazis.
The application of the racist meaning given to these runes is the product of fantasy. It has no relation to their historical reference. But the addition or suggestion of wings to the Othala rune directly references the Nazi usage of the symbol, and should be removed.
@thewildhunt the only policy quoted in here seems to imply a condemnation of the worship of beings such as Jormungandr. Is the text of the new policy released or no? As it stands, the quoted policy would mean that my Loki ritual would violate their policy because it includes his children.
The “we want to protect our children from being mutilated” people are the same people who will defend infant circumcision. It’s all a bunch of bullshit that they say to pretend that they aren’t bigots.
Being social conservative means you hate people, and I’m tired of people pretending like it’s somehow a valid viewpoint. Trans people are who they say they are.
my prediction is that when the first trans woman gets a womb transplant and gets pregnant, the anti trans anti abortion people will respond by demanding it be aborted.
It should also be unsurprising when people react negatively at implications that their way of life should be eliminated. Who would want to build coalition with people who say that kind of thing? The insistence that people should just put up with that is just wild.
Beyond that, anti-theism is just a bad take. I'm unsure why people are surprised that the reaction to atheists saying "your religion is false" is the same reaction given to proselytizing Christians when they say "your religion is false". This should be obvious and expected.
