Nobody is vandalizing the Reflecting Pool, and Trump knows it. This is a visible example of his corruption--a no-bid contract to some crony followed by sky-high cost overruns, and shoddy construction to boot. Classic Trump: I didn't fuck up, it was my enemies.
Donald Trump just stole $1.7B from us — and he's creating a slush fund to reward his political allies.
I've never seen anything like this in my 50 years in politics.
It makes Nixon look like a boy scout.

Since Trump doesn't want this portrait of President Obama displayed in the White House, let's make this photo of our President go viral here!

BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: If Democrats win the 2026 midterms, they plan to pass a bill called the Alex Pretti Act that will end qualified immunity for ICE agents, allowing them to be sued or jailed for wrongdoing
Congratulations to Mayor Mamdani. He inherited a huge budget deficit, brought it down to zero, and still invested in childcare, housing and city infrastructure.
When municipal governments stand with working families, not billionaires, there is nothing they cannot accomplish.
This is what the craziness in the White House is about. Trump’s budget includes:
$1 billion for his White House ballroom.
$1 billion in cuts to the National Park Service.
We should be investing in the needs of the working class, not more of the President's vanity projects.
The damage from a reactionary Supreme Court:
Citizens United allows billionaires to buy elections.
Ending Roe v. Wade takes away a woman's right to control her body.
Louisiana v. Callais strips voting rights away from Black Americans.
Our rights are under attack. FIGHT BACK.
The function of a rational healthcare system is NOT to provide huge profits to insurance companies.
It is to guarantee healthcare to all as a human right.
We must no longer be the only major country without universal healthcare.
We must pass Medicare for All.
Jeff Bezos is seeking $100 billion to put robots into factories. Millions of manufacturing jobs — GONE.
Driverless vehicle companies are expanding rapidly. Millions of transportation jobs — truckers, cab drivers, Uber drivers — GONE.
We are not ready for what’s coming.
Google founder Sergey Brin's wealth has DOUBLED to $311 billion since Trump's election.
Now he’s spending $57M to oppose a 5% billionaires' wealth tax in California.
He’d rather millions lose healthcare than pay his fair share in taxes. This kind of arrogance is unacceptable.
Trump and his family have now made $4 BILLION off the presidency, including more than $3 billion from crypto alone.
Here’s a radical idea. What about having a president who wants to improve the financial well-being of ALL Americans, not just his own family and fellow oligarchs.
I'm saddened by the passing of Craig Venter, a brilliant scientist and visionary entrepreneur whose partnership with the NIH led to the mapping of the human genome—unlocking new insights about ourselves and our common humanity.
I'll always be grateful for the chance to know him and learn from him. His legacy will endure with every new discovery built on his lifetime of research and innovation.
Congrats to Graham Platner, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in Maine. He's surging by taking on the billionaire class and fighting for working families.
Americans are tired of status quo politics. They want REAL change and that's what Graham will deliver.
I asked Secretary Hegseth a straightforward, yes or no question today: Is Donald Trump mentally stable enough to be Commander in Chief?
He didn't say yes. And that speaks volumes.
War in Iraq: $2.1 trillion
War in Afghanistan: $2.3 trillion
Projected cost of the war in Iran: $1 trillion
Somehow, there is always money for war, but never enough money for housing, education or the needs of working people. We must and will change our national priorities.
Today’s Supreme Court ruling guts the Voting Rights Act and turns back the clock on the foundational promise of equality and fairness in our election systems.
Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act was one of the last remaining federal protections for Black and brown voters against maps deliberately drawn to dilute their political power. That protection has been stripped away.
It is an outrage. But it is not a surprise.
It is part of an agenda that conservatives set in place decades ago to steal power from everyday people and then cling to that power for generations.
The court’s decision is motivated by politics and designed to give an upper hand to Donald Trump’s Republican Party, which faces the threat of losing the upcoming midterm elections.
We must pay attention to what happens next.
The fight now returns to the states. Legislatures — particularly those in the South — will rush to redraw districts before voting for the midterms begins in just a few months. Already, Louisiana and Florida are planning to redraw their maps, and we should not be surprised if others rapidly follow suit ahead of the midterms and 2028. Their politically-motivated power grab is meant to protect elected Republicans from any consequences for their failure to make groceries, gas, health care, or housing more affordable for you and your family. They want to cheat and choose their voters, instead of the voters deciding who they choose.
The mission before us is to restore the power of the people. There is no question our fight became harder today, but I know we are up for the battle.

Right now, I'm BLOCKING a Republican bill to build Donald Trump's ballroom.
Instead of rubber-stamping Trump’s gold-encrusted ballroom, Congress must lower costs for American families. https://t.co/CneepkKYUW
