@calleymeans listened to MFM. Re: Rockefeller and modern pharmaceuticals, Flexner, et al. - have you read Titan? Paints a very different picture about the motivations and causation. For one, Gates was the one who pushed modern medicine. Rockefeller pref’d homeopathic medicine.
@Shwinnabego Makes sense that we "dislike" our parents as a means of cementing individuality, but can you give examples of the different eras/tastes you're referring to?
I’m gathering that healthcare reform happens in three stages, but sorta all at once bc of AI:
1) removing admin
2) removing middlemen/rent-seekers
3) replacing providers
Ultimately, it’s insurers, care groups and the government left. Reduced costs via job losses.
Congrats to the Tennr team on the $18M Series A!
Tennr (YC W23) uses powerful home-grown AI models that allow healthcare suppliers and practices to grow by automating the painfully manual work it takes to move patients through the healthcare system. https://t.co/6dnlUsqlZs
Rosy? Sure. Criminal? Meh.
Besides battery chemistry, air is denser in the cold and v^2 in the drag eq means even 5mph can have a big impact.
I bet those big, boxy Rivians get nowhere near the estimates. Teslas at least have very low Cd.
Ehhhh I worked with the eng teams on the models and built/maintained the calculators. I was always shocked at how far people would go to test out the estimates. I doubt they do it in their IC cars.

@scottbelsky reframe, be the friend who provides the self-confidence/belief for friends to do the hard things they really want to do.
Most people evaluate an idea, a few say go for it, even fewer help you actually analyze how to do it and provide proof that YOU can indeed do it.
@WisdomMadeEasy@BStulberg@ShaanVP I believe he called it "table stakes" as an adult. It's not a rip on either of you per se, just a very common graphic/meme that he's seen a bunch. No big deal, just poking the bear a bit.
@ShaanVP@BStulberg@WisdomMadeEasy Shaan, now that I've enraged you, have you considered doing a "here's what we would do" segment where listeners send in their startup questions?
aka "Unfuck my startup"
Bc I've got an app but user growth is flat & I'd love some advice.
