@molsjames Our local magazine that does an annual “best in town” contest literally rigs the contest by having the screen jump if someone tries voting for a company that didn’t post for ads to a company that does.
You can still vote for companies that don’t run ads, but it’s harder.
@DutchRojas Even if you own your practice as a primary care doctor, you can be “forced” to rush patients due to pathetically low insurance reimbursements
they're even lower as an independent doctor since they don’t get the added facility fee a hospital owned practice gets for same service
@InvestingDoc So much of it is a total sham. We win two of the big “best doctor in town” contests.
We actually get a dozen or so patients a year from it. We’re used to get more before concierge.
@EvanDad280152@MuskieAngler98@DrDiGiorgio You’re a dork…. What is it about getting online and making these sweeping accusations about a person/colleague you know jack about.
He isn’t using paper any longer, as he retired due to medicine changing. He was a great doctor that was a beloved town doc for almost 50 yrs
@OckhamsRazor4@MuskieAngler98@DrDiGiorgio That’s wild, but I do as well. We have NPs at specialist’s offices seeing crazy numbers. Some of the NPs are my wife’s patients, and she’s terrified how little they know about really unhealthy patients.
She’s had several admit they are in over their heads
@EvanDad280152@MuskieAngler98@DrDiGiorgio My point was this could be done with paper charts back in the 80s.
I do agree it would be about impossible in today’s healthcare world.
That’s my entire point.
@realEstateTrent It’s way more time and money and hassle than most ever realize.
My entire family that gets to mooch has it 10x better than I do as the owner.
@realEstateTrent Chilling on the dock at my lake in the exact spot if you look at my profile pic.
It’s beautiful.We’ve had a great week boating,fishing,kayaking,cards and cooking
BUUT…this morning consisted of cleaning entire house, calling electrician broken outlet, mailing checks to yard guy
@TexasOncologist@DrDiGiorgio@MuskieAngler98 I knew you weren’t knocking him. We were totally agreeing that that the paperwork and data entry required makes what used to be doable now impossible.
@TexasOncologist@DrDiGiorgio@MuskieAngler98 Exactly. He would have never been able to see that many patients witha ton of data entry with a million clicky boxes that’s so common today.
@MuskieAngler98@DrDiGiorgio Again, how are the Muskie biting where you are?
You are going on tangents saying stuff discussing specifics we never mentioned.
Do you disagree that govt/insurance intruding healthcare has been detrimental?
@MuskieAngler98@DrDiGiorgio Sorry if I was rough. Just a bit insulting to me to accuse someone I know of something I know they didn’t do by someone that’s way less aware of healthcare and even less aware due to not being there.
He did exams. He had a ton of rooms with great help. My doc did the same.
@DrDiGiorgio@MuskieAngler98 Another case of people failing to realize this is the real world and many brilliant economists devoted many chapters to the concept of SCARCITY
there are rare people that can do the un fathomable…like this doc
Last thing you want to do with these gems is force them to retire
@MuskieAngler98@DrDiGiorgio Stick to fishing,as making baseless accusations on things my wife and I have personally witnessed isn’t wise.
My family doc did basically the same thing in the 80s.He was one of my dad’s best friends.I used to go follow him as a kid when I thought I wanted to be a doc
