I splashed water on a woman in January because I was driving fast during rainfall.
Felt awful about it, parked and apologized to her.
yesterday, Iβm standing by the road side during rainfall and I saw a car splashed water on me.
The person driving parked and came down.
I feel like everyone knows exactly what they need to do to turn their lives around.
The difference between those who do and those who won't don't is following through.
A customer reached out last year. He wanted a 2010 Camry and asked what mileage he should expect. I told him we'll be lucky if we get 170k. He said No, that's too much. That his friend just got one and it had only 90 something k.
I said I am very sure his friend's car is not actually 90 something k.
I helped him understand why I was so sure.
He said he'll have his friend send me his VIN so I can confirm.
I sent them back the evidence that his friend's car was actually 222k not 90 something.
His friend even dashed me 20k for that info.
We later got a 150k car for him and he was very happy.
From thinking 170k is too high for a 2010 car and being joyous over 150k.
The difference was a change in mindset that was rooted in understanding.
Both cars are working perfectly today.
If you're a dealer, all you need to do is help your customers understand.
There's no point rolling back mileage.
I once bought a customer what he was sure was "too high mileage."
I didn't bother rolling it back. I just gave him a 2 year warranty on the engine and gear.
One year down. Just oil change.
Car has zero faults.
Maybe I should make a video on this topic to help more people understand what is good and bad mileage on a Tokunbo car.
Good morning, house.βοΈ
