If that's a single circle, the distinction doesn't matter. If it's nearly two separate circles, the distinction is immense in the scope of applicability

Water is a very good conductor of heat whereas air is not, so putting your hands in the oven doesn't deliver as much heat energy as quickly as water would. Also temp is not double between 212 and 450
