🇺🇸 The Charlie Kirk case just got its deepest forensic breakdown yet, from the DNA on the rifle to the missing ambulance to the altered crime scene

Forensic scientist Joseph Scott Morgan started with the soil.

Roughly ten inches were dug out of the shooting scene days after it happened.

Once you do that, nobody can ever go back and check it again.

He expects investigators to point to digital scans accurate to the millimeter, and he allows that might be enough.

Then he named Parkland, where the building stayed fenced and locked for years so a jury could walk through a scene frozen exactly as it was found.

Tell twelve ordinary people the ground was dug up within days and it sticks.

On the multiple DNA profiles found on the rifle, he was careful.

Modern testing picks up skin cells, so a weapon that passed through several hands over years can carry people who were never near the crime.

Prosecutors will have to explain every one of them. He shut the door on the exploding microphone theory outright.

He has seen what explosives do to a body, and this looks nothing like it.

Then the gap he cannot explain.

DNA analysts and crime scene staff testified at the preliminary hearing.

The medical examiner filed paperwork and was never called.

And nobody has said what happened to the clothing, or how fast anyone reached the emergency room.

🇺🇸 A veteran defense attorney just watched the Tyler Robinson preliminary hearing. And says the prosecution may have blown up its own narrative.

Mark Geragos is calling it not a conspiracy theory, but bad lawyering.

His core point: this was a hearsay-heavy preliminary hearing that ran a full week, when 999 out of 1,000 prelims wrap in a few hours.

When a prosecutor stretches a hearing that long and lets in evidence that can't be cross-examined (like a recorded statement instead of live testimony) Geragos says it invites exactly the scrutiny it was trying to avoid.

Two details stood out to him specifically.

DNA on the rifle reportedly tied to several different individuals. And ring camera footage, testified to by the lead detective himself, allegedly showing the suspect's car with additional unidentified people inside.

Geragos's point isn't that this proves anything. It's that evidence admitted this loosely is, by definition, open to more than one reasonable interpretation, which is the textbook standard for reasonable doubt.

He draws a direct line to how these high-profile cases tend to unfold. Prosecutors show grainy footage and narrate a conclusion the footage doesn't actually support, expecting jurors to fill the gap.

When the defense gets real cross-examination, which he says happened just this week in an unrelated high-profile case, the tidy version often falls apart fast.

Geragos is careful to separate two different questions: motive isn't an element of the crime, and neither is having an accomplice.

But he says the pattern across major cases, Robinson, Luigi Mangione, Bryan Kohberger's now-contested guilty plea, keeps rhyming: multiple people involved is historically the more common outcome than the lone-actor narrative, even when officials present it as settled.

If the preliminary hearing already created this much doubt, what happens once a jury pool gets asked to unanimously believe there's no reasonable doubt left?

3. HE ABANDONED HIS OWN HURRICANE VICTIMS
Hurricane Ian flattened HIS district. He voted AGAINST the bill that funded FEMA's disaster relief, then begged for Ian money a week later. He lied to you all. Performative politics.
